I listened to it. 911 operator was right on the money - not worth someone losing a life over stolen property - especially a neighbor he didn’t even know.

I saw a police body cam video from earlier this summer where a woman called police about a prowler, they come inside her home and as she is draining a boiling pot of maybe spaghetti, she is blown away...
while not knowing all the facts it looks bad and yes—white officer and black shooting victim.

According to Dr. Carissa Cole, fully half the candidates she flat out failed got hired anyway.
Pull this kind of stunt in Texas, and you’ve decided that the property of others is worth risking your life to steal.

Reminds me of the farmer who in the night, saw two poachers killing a deer on his property. He called the Game Warden who, woke out of sleep, promptly authorized the farmer to arrest and hold the poachers. Then the warden went back to sleep.
The thing is, when robbers take your money or your property, they take the time you worked for that property or your forebears did.
A hundred dollars you might give up. A year’s worth of toil? Your life savings?
If a house is burgled, the people who live there may never feel safe there again.
And burglars aren’t just burglars. They’re opportunists. Too many of them don’t run away if they are surprised by someone in the house. They attack, they kill, they say why not and rape if they encounter a woman.
