Donald Trump has ignited alarm among his critics after telling a crowd of supporters that they won’t “have to vote again” if they return him to the presidency in November’s election.
“Christians, get out and vote! Just this time – you won’t have to do it any more,” the Republican former president said on Friday night at a rally hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida, by the far-right advocacy group Turning Point Action.
“You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote any more, my beautiful Christians.”
At that point, with a slight shake of his head and his right hand pressed against the left side of his chest, Trump said, “I’m not Christian.” But he added: “I love you. Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”
Trump’s remarks were immediately met with consternation in some political quarters.
The constitutional and civil rights attorney Andrew Seidel, for instance, replied to video of Trump’s comments circulating on X by writing: “This is not subtle Christian nationalism. He’s talking about ending our democracy and installing a Christian nation.”

Those who look at good or great and complain it’s not perfection...
I look forward to not having to vote again. It should be optional.
Except they cheated then and in many other elections. So using those benchmarks as though those are real numbers is not valid.
Sorry. Vance was very young. He ate his words and acknowledged his mistakes years ago, explained why and why the change. If you are looking for a better VP candidate you won’t find one for 2024.
No one is asking for “perfection”.
Look at his fight to reinstall "Merry Christmas" after the Dems tried to eliminate it.
The Dems go after certain districts..and get out that vote.....effectively defeating the Electoral College.

When I initially supported Cruz in 2016, I said some things about Trump that I’m glad were not recorded for posterity. I changed my mind about Trump, so who is to say Vance didn’t as well? You seem to be holding to some kind of purity test that a lot of Trump’s most ardent supporters couldn’t pass.
This week we had plenty of folks that immediately rushed onto FR and pushed that bogus “cat lady” narrative. Clearly there was a coordinated agenda by leftist plants on FR to stir up dissent and several of those folks were rightly Zotted. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you aren’t one of those, but I implore you to get your facts straight and know that you are being played when you mindlessly repeat leftist attacks.
Look, Trump picked Vance and at this point it’s a done deal. Vance may yet prove to be a mistake, but you appear to be searching for confirmation bias. The “cat lady” comments are not the evidence you seek that Vance is some sort of Manchurian Candidate.
You aren’t helping anyone when you repeat the inaccuracies and distortions of the left. Get on board with winning this election Trump/Vance rather than sowing discontent here on FR.
It’s possible Trump is communicating the idea that as a believer in the Gospel of Christ, he doesn’t regard the mockery of those who try to mock him.
It seems the word “Christian” was coined by those who mocked Christians in ancient times.

If Christians stay home en masse, that’s exactly what they will get. I am a Christian and I am voting for Trump.

Well I am voting for Trump as I like his policies and I am a Christian and a realist..Would he be someone I would be a friend to..hard to say on that,maybe.
