I spoke with my wife's aunt today who is visiting us in Texas from Washington State. For the record, she is a kind, understanding and great aunt to my family but when the topic flipped to the Biden resignation, a few things came out about the Left Wing mind.
The immediate things that were said were:
Trump cut taxes for the rich Citizens United case was the first time crony capitalism came into existence She wants Kamala because she really, really wants a female President. She likes Kamala OK, no qualms about her ability Trump had a sharp shooter to get sympathy (injure not kill) Canada has great healthcare Immigration isn't a big deal She thinks Adam Schiff should run for President, he's smart with good ideas and reaches across the aisle

The “Trump faked his shooting” narrative is all over the Left-wing internet.
That just shows how utterly devastating his survival was for them.

I left Seattle 13 years ago for rural Kentucky. I used to argue with people like that all the time. One day I suddenly felt incredibly stupid and trolled and haven’t done it since. I’ll say my piece (if anything), and move on.
I lived there for 46 years and mostly really liked the area, but it was getting politically intolerable. I still visit once a year because I have a couple of relatives there (most followed my lead and left, though). I’m shocked at the changes I see in my once a year snapshots. And none of them are good. Though I see they finished “big dig west”.
Give up. There is no hope!
More anecdotal evidence that the 19th Amendment was a serious mistake.
They don’t think they feel. Nobody is going to hire someone to shoot himself in the head but try not to kill him. An ear is a tiny target and it is hard enough to shoot someone in the head to kill let alone just clipping the ear while they are moving their head around.

Bear in mind that the Dems already had voters like her. Nominating Kamala doesn’t buy them much, if at all. They might gain a tiny bit of Independent voters, but that’s it.

There is a hard core of people who drink all the kool-aid the media dishes out. But it’s not anything close to 50% of the population.
There is a growing percentage of people who are thinking for themselves and increasingly realize how much they have been lied to.
