A tourist in Florence, Italy has sparked outrage and criticism recently after she was filmed simulating an insulting sexual act with a Roman statue.

The statue isn't Roman. It was created by Jehan Boulongne, aka Giovanni da Bologna or Giambologna, a Dutch sculptor transplanted to Tuscany in the sixteenth century.
