OK. I just watched Vice President Vance speak, at the convention.
He gets it. 100 percent.
Nice wife and family too.
Sorry we only get CNN here, but he gets it. Just like Trump gets it.
Good choice. Genuinely nice guy.

Go ahead show us the "documentation".
I mean, I think about VP picks of GOPS going back:
Reagan picks Bush - Good politics, but put a political rival as your successor
Bush picks Quayle - clearly not a great pick, but didn’t matter at the time, road a wave to be #3 Reagan term
Dole picks Kemp - great energy and speaker, but Dole himself was dead man walking against Clinton, so it didn’t matter, the entire ticket needed to be different
W picks Cheney - governing pick, but not going to help with voters and Cheney is the father of neocon politics
McCain picks Palin - She was brought to the national stage too soon, the ticket itself was just not equipped to go out against Obama, not a good pick
Romney picks Ryan - Like, why double down on yourself so much? It was a bad choice imo and amplified Romney’s own problems.
Trump picks Pence - Good pick for religious voters/GOPers iffy on Trump, but bad pick once he got in the White House after his upset win, Pence eying his job and leaking day one.
Trump picks JD - Trump can only serve one term here, so he needs the future. Well spoken man, likable. Amazing story. Good pick.
I liked how he laid it to the American “ruling class”. That is what we are fighting - that a ruling class has been created and is willing to be tyrannical to remain in power. He’s unique in naming them that…I like that.
Trump was weak with religious conservatives in '16 so it was a good pick.
Presentation-wise I’d give him a C+. Big moment, high expectations, I get it. Like Trump, an imperfect public speaker, but he said what needed to be said and he’s a true American son. I remember admiring Obama’s command of speech and that turned out to be a completely worthless and wasted skill. The contrast is stark...
JD has a great sense of humor. When the going gets tough, he will lighten up the situation. That will enable good decisions.
Did Usha speak as well? I’ll have to go look. I haven’t heard either of them before it’s all new.
Yes
JD will mop, strip and buff the floor with Camelia
No, Prince was short, skinny, and black. And a lousy tipper, too, according to all the waitresses in the restaurants around First Avenue.
MSDNC talking heads concluded that Vance’s speech was “boring”.
What planet are they on. His speech was very engaging.
How did you get such a vitriolic opinion of JD? Besides, Kamelia (spelled with a K) will be back in LA.
Yes, this looks like the perfect choice.
Vance is going to help to deliver union votes.
Perhaps MSNBC people were bored because the speech was calmly delivered. Perhaps they were bored because JD did much to endear himself to receptive voters. Perhaps they were bored because they are not real news people who might study and report on the many assertions and promises made. Perhaps they are just stupid leftists.
Vance will bring in the young vote—and the Indian vote too.
“Presentation-wise I’d give him a C+. Big moment, high expectations, I get it. Like Trump, an imperfect public speaker, but he said what needed to be said and he’s a true American son.”
Totally agree.
