@elonmusk
This is the final straw.
Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.

@libsoftiktok
Gavin Newsom signed AB1955 today which bans schools from making rules requiring parental notification if a child identifies as transgender.

@elonmusk
I did make it clear to Governor Newsom about a year ago that laws of this nature would force families and companies to leave California to protect their children

That’s all well and good but Texas is already over populated with Californicans bringing their wacky ideas and Biden’s illegals. The CAs have tried to change TX to purple and have caused housing to skyrocket. We used to maybe pass 4 cars on the way into town but today it is bumper to bumper traffic just like metropolitan 5 o’clock traffic.
Now I know why spacex has been building a huge office building in bolsa Chica. Good for him.
Your own governor, the one who gave speeches at La Raza, was over in CA not too many years ago begging them to move business to Texas.
What took him so long?
Illegal alien housing and welfare giveaway building.
He wants to move everyone there before they go public. He’s gonna made a few hundred more millionaires and he wants to save them a bunch on taxes.
Hey, maybe he’ll start hearing about the miserable Texas power grid and do something about that.
Apparently no one in Texas can.
Love it!
Ping!
good. i well remember that most of the republican right (even on FR) had nothing good to say when Elon bought twitter. many were calling twitter a financial boat anchor
and questioning Musk’s financial acumen and his leftist motives at the same time.
frankly i was elated when he took over. not because i’m a fan of tesla, never have been. but because it was very obvious to me the only motive he could have for wading into that mess was to stop the left’s tyrannical censorship of our side and reclaim its former position of free speech (relatively) in the public square.
perhaps some will have a more open mind for people who started on the left but who are clearly ‘acting’ as if they are in the process of turning themselves around.
I’m absolutely thrilled, as a Texan, with this good news!
Love Elon. He has responded to me directly in several of his posts on X. I call him the Hank Rearden of our Age. I think Ayn Rand would agree.
And now they can suffer because their governor is a douche.
I’ve not been too pleased with Abbott. Yeah, about La Raza, grrr. And the flying of illegals to NY was for show and he didn’t complete the job. He let toxic soil and water from the Ohio train wreck be shipped here. He brought dozens of huge company HGs to Texas with no consideration with housing and infrastructure or what that’d do to taxes. Sales tax has gone up and property taxes go up 10% each year. A spouse can be dead for six months and the widow still can’t get the state retirement owed. How dare he drain the rivers and lakes putting thousands of water dependent businesses out of business just because the rice lobby throws a hissy fit taking every last drop for their own. And don’t get me started on the power grid especially during the big freeze, cough, make that two recent freezes. One freeze was bad but the more recent one was normal. There was no reason to cut power in tourist areas that had maybe 2 occupied homes out of 100. Summer tourists use more power than what was needed that winter.
He previously has been moving TESLA out. Now SpaceX and then X (formerly Twitter). That’s a lot of jobs leaving the State due to stupid Democrat policies.
He is becoming more conservative with time.
I’m absolutely thrilled, as a Texan, with this good news!
Ditto, my sweet TX FRiend ❤️ 🤠
Good news!
