😱😱😱the environment! what’s gonna happen to the environment?!
I see no reason why that can’t buff right out.
As these things get older and the owners start skimping on maintenance, this is going to happen more and more. They will be like timebombs driving down the highway.
Lithium batteries will burn for hours/days even while completly submerged in water.
NASCAR want’s to go electric....LOL!
This was at a Sheetz in Upper Allen, PA (near Harrisburg) btw.
How many people get electrocuted while charging their EV in the Rain ?
Does the next EV in line get to charge its batteries now?
The whole station is out of service for hours, perhaps days.
Ping...
“Oh, no.....here I go again....lemme see....start the insurance app and take a picture of this burning mess to file with them....oh, wait, that’s out. The phone is in the car...”

It is the nature if energy to want to “move” and therefore to resent confinement. Ergo, it will, whenever able, escape.
The miracle of fossil fuels is that Mother Nature has captured fusion energy transmitted from the sun in the form of electromagnetic radiation and transformed it into a highly energy-dense, relatively stable and easily transportable form, and stored it in the ground, all free of charge.
All we need do to avail ourselves of this miracle is dig it up and process it a bit to better suit the specific end purpose.
This is why “green” energy will never be neither as usable nor as effective nor as economical as fossil fuels, and is, thermodynamically speaking, a Fool’s Errand.
