Benji Gregory, best known for his role on ALF, has died. He was 46.
On June 13, the late actor was found dead in his car in the parking lot of a Chase Bank located in Peoria, Arizona, according to TMZ. The outlet reported those closest to Gregory believe that he was visiting the bank to deposit checks the day before when he fell asleep in his car.
They believe that he died from vehicular heatstroke. The temperature rose as high as 109 degrees on June 12 where he was in Arizona. The outlet also noted that his service dog, Hans, was also found deceased in the vehicle.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office told ABC7 Los Angeles that his cause of death is still pending

Weird, didn't he have air conditioning or was it suicide?Feel sorry for the dog.

It sounds like he was sleeping in his car.

We’re supposed to believe that the guy simply fell asleep, his dog was unable to wake him from his little nap, and then they both baked to death in the hot car?
Sure.

Parents who get their young children into show business are guilty of child abuse.

101 episodes of Alf? A show that made you more stupid every time you watched it. Ugh!
Sorry for his troubles. I mean, *I* fall asleep in my car after depositing my residual checks from being a Child Star ALL The TIME! Luckily, I live in a cooler climate than the Desert SW.

It sounds like one of those opioid OD things.

The article said he was depositing residual checks, which couldn't have been much, since the show ALF is not that popular. Have heard that some actors get residual checks for 10 cents. Joyce Randolph, Trixie on The Honeymooners had in her contract residual payments, she probably made a nice living and lived to almost 100.
Maybe he was living in his car.

He had bipolar, which interferes with judgment. His prescribed meds likely made him more sensitive to heat than he would be otherwise.

My hardcore dad loved it because of all the cat jokes. Alf was brutal.

This whole show was cursed. The guy who portrayed the father was found smoking crack and having sex with men in a crack house.

I’m in Phoenix. It gets pretty doggone hot and in the car, forget it!

Top 3 probable causes of death are:
1) clot shot, or
2) knew too much on the Clintons, or
3) said loudly in Arizona that the Cardinals should keep their coach.

I was starting college when that show debuted. I couldn’t believe how stupid it was. It was a major contributor to me transitioning from my tv watching “child” life to my non TV watching “adult” life.

Yikes.
With characters like that ‘leading’ young children...
It shows that I’m never too cynical in suspecting that child actors who have serious problems in life (heck, could be all of them, ‘troubled’ or not) were damaged in unspeakable ways by the pervert sickos in Hollyweird.
RIP, Benji Gregory.

Sorry to hear this. Thank you Benji, for your role in creating wholesome entertainment that families were able to watch together. Something sorely lacking today. Rest in Peace.
