Matthew “Matt” Aaron Clinton, 54 of York, passed away on July 2, according to his obituary. "Details of his death are unknown, but at this time, we know that he passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Columbia," his ex-wife Jane Calcina-Clinton wrote on a GoFundMe launched to help their two sons.

Matt attended West York High School and York VoTech, going on to become a master carpenter, according to his obituary. "His brilliance and artistic abilities truly shone through in his work where he brought creativity and magic to each of his projects like the Escape Games Live in York," as stated in his obituary. Daily Voice has reached out to Escape Games Live York for additional comment on his sudden passing.

Matt was known for his kindness, genuine giving ways, and sense of humor, according to his obituary.

After battling addiction, Matt became a member of Alcoholics Anonymous who "loved to [analyze], reflect, and discuss them with others and was very fond of his mentor and church pastor, Pastor John Baker from Kinderhook Evangelical Church in Columbia," as stated in his obituary.

First RIP Matt, but the York paper must use AI, they have those annoying video clips as a side bar, the first clip is about a runaway chicken, the second of a restaurant called "World of Beer".

AI doesn't know good taste.

Is he at least a distant cousin to the Clinton’s, to create some relevance?

Yeah unless there is something beyond this writeup we aren’t being told about this seems just a run of the mil obit.l About 20 years ago I looked up how many people die each day in this world. It was around 150k on average. It’s probably higher now because of population increase.

Hillary has an alibi. It’s not a good one, but it will do.

Don’t you two make this become of those legendary perpetual threads. But who knows, this fellow may deserve the honor. (RIP)

Maybe this is a vaccine speculation post, due to his passing “suddenly for an unknown reason” at 54.

My former HS principal died at age 46 in 1979 from a massive heart attack while sitting at his desk getting ready for the school day.

He was, from all outward appearances, everything known about him, physically fit and active and healthy, played and coached and refereed sports. And he was a wonderful man, an engaging teacher and a terrific principal, a tough disciplinarian and demanding of high academic standards but also fair and who wanted to know about his student’s concerns and problems (his teacher’s too).

I remember him standing in the hallways of Western HS during class changes, “directing traffic” and making sure we didn’t dawdle at our lockers and got to our next class on time and yet he seemed to know every student by name, even our nicknames. And he could be extremely funny at times.

“After battling addiction, Matt became a member of Alcoholics Anonymous”

Drug and alcohol abuse can do a real number on one’s heart.

My husband got sober in AA in 1990 and his first sponsor dropped dead suddenly of a massive heart attack in 1992 at the age of 52 while sitting behind the wheel of his car, warming up his car in his driveway one snowy morning. And he hadn’t even shoveled any snow yet, he was just sitting in his car.

He’d been sober from alcohol for over 25 years but could never give up chain smoking cigarettes or his really terrible diet even after being diagnosed as a diabetic.

But let’s do post every obituary from every local newspaper in the country and speculate some nefarious cause for the reason a middle-aged man might have a sudden fatal heart attack because, as we all know, that’s never happened before the COVID vax.

I am so glad you brought this to our attention. Can you pick me up and take me with you to the funeral? It’s too far for me to drive. We can catch up on what his life meant to us on the way. I’m not sure my suit is back from the cleaners, can you bring an extra suit for me to borrow? Thanks so much. And flowers, don’t forget to buy flowers to take to the funeral. Are you one of the pallbearers? I can’t because of my back. You understand. Also bring some snacks for me to munch on because I have have a sweet tooth. I prefer Cheetos and M&Ms but Oreos work too. And beer, don’t forget to bring beer to drink on the way. I’m so excited I can’t wait for you to show up. I’m so looking for it.

One problem, .. well, several. I don’t drink so the beer is a no go. Also, I haven’t owned a suit in years so you’ll have to wear your khakis and Hawaiian shirt. ALSO, I don’t do sweets or junk food, my diet doesn’t allow. Lastly, I’m almost allergic to flowers so that won’t work either. Other than those, let’s go!
