It’s funny to have hockey teams in Florida or Arizona etc…
In my city, all the police that have not worked today are being called in for a shift.
On the other hand, I hate seeing southern teams win the Stanley Cup — especially one like the Panthers and their lame fan base.
Why the hell are they still playing ice hockey in the summer? There should be no ice hockey after the vernal equinox—just as there should be no college football after New Years Day and no major league baseball after Halloween.
Are the Oilers the ones with that racist black player Evander Kane? If so, I am rooting for Florida.
It’s good that their logo says Florida Panthers or I would have guessed Charlotte, NC. Are they based in any particular city? Obviously I don’t follow hockey.
Really got into hockey the last couple of years and this final game should be a doozie! I’m rooting for the Panthers but I have a funny feeling the Oilers will come out on top.
I wish this man was doing the play-by-play, I think he has the quickest mind I’ve seen in a human being, hockey is a very fast moving game. Gary Thorne, for every hockey fan’s enjoyment.

Congrats to the Panthers. The 0-3 comeback club is pretty exclusive. Leafs in 42 were the first and still only finals team to do it. It’s also happened a handful of times in the NHL in earlier rounds of the playoffs. Red Sox over the Yanks in the ALCS is the only time it has ever happened in MLB. Never in the NBA. Edmonton almost did it but fell just a bit short tonight.
