CHICAGO — The burglar who went viral after being attacked by a frying pan-wielding homeowner is a 12-time convicted felon who was paroled three months ago on burglary, forgery, theft, and stolen motor vehicle cases, according to court filings.
Bradley Willenborg, 31, provided Chicago cops with the alias “Brandon Williams” and a fake birthdate after they arrested him in the 3400 block of West Parker around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Judge Susana Ortiz ordered him detained yesterday afternoon because of a safety risk.

As he entered his ransacked home, Williams encountered Willenborg on the stairs coming from the second floor, a CPD report said. Williams retrieved a frying pan from his kitchen to defend himself. And what happened next is internet gold.

“There is a fair chance I own more Lodge cast iron than anyone on the thread - and I’ll take a Glock given my druthers.”
I may beat you on that. I have my cast iron, my mother’s cast iron, and even a piece or two of my grandmother’s cast iron skillets. Not all are Lodge though. Do you have the divided cornbread skillet?
Note: I’d go for the Glock (or something equivalent) as well.
I noticed as well that the dog was late to the party. He was ferocious sounding as long as someone else had already completed the hard work.
With a bayonet lug and suppressor.
I heard a similar story. A mom was home alone when a democrat broke into her house. She was boiling water at the time. When the democrat rushed the woman, she threw the boiling water on him, then hit him in the head with the scalding pot.
He had a bad day.
I’ve got some I rescued from my MIL’s basement, took a wire brush on a rotary air grinder to remove the rust, and resurrected via seasoning in the oven with oil. Long process.
I’ve filled up a shopping cart at the real factory store in South Pittsburgh, TN. On at least two separate occasions. The outlet mall Lodge stores are not the real deal, the real deal is a couple hundred yards from the foundry.
I have a largish camp Dutch oven and carrier I used to take to races and make peach or blueberry cobbler. This made me very popular with our trackside neighbors. It’s also one of the few acceptable uses for matchlight charcoal. You can’t cook meat over it.
We’ll call it a tie without getting piece count and scales involved.
:^)
Their scalding contents into the perp’s face also work.
Nice that there were officers nearby at the time.
The perp comes off as a kinda naughty and nasty little twerp. I wasn’t that surprised though.

Another BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE.
I was referencing the gay libtard who invested his public salary in a wrought iron fence to leave it convenient for the criminal element his beloved city permits to run free.
Idiocy, hypocrisy, brain in his seat...you get the gist.
Am I the only one to have noticed that the ‘victim’ lives in a neighborhood where the police were ON SCENE IMMEDIATELY?
That almost NEVER happens...except to the privileged (and/or protected class), ESPECIALLY in Chicaco.
Seasoned cast iron pan?
Cast iron is the .45 ACP of frying pans. My DeBuyer carbon steel pan would be more like a 9mm — not quite the heavy hitter but would still get the job done.

Why do I hear the Benny Hill music?
Just for giggles, I weighed some Lodge pans that were handy.
8” Frying pan - 5 pounds 2-1/4 oz
10” Frying pan - 5 pounds 5-5/8 oz
12” Frying pan - 7 pounds 13-3/8 oz
My guess is that this guy had a 10”.
Correction - the 8 “ is 3 pounds 2-1/4 oz

Agreed. Good job of getting a rusty one cleaned up and back into use. I rescued a square Lodge pan from my late father-in-law’s garage. I soaked it in white vinegar overnight, then easily scrubbed it clean. Seasoned it well with bacon grease and placed it in the oven for a few hours. Good as new! I ordered a square lid from Lodge for 19.99 and that set-up is my go-to frying pan.
“Seasoned cast iron pan?“
It’s pretty easy to do just using and cleaning it right. But you can also fill it with oil and put it in a 350degree oven for three hours as well. I’ve used mine to make over easy eggs with no problem at all.
I have my own, my mother’s, and my grandmother’s cast iron, plus a few miscellaneous pieces rescued from the Boy Scouts and Goodwill. Every year after we deep fry the Thanksgiving turkey, we put all the cast iron in the leftover hot oil to season overnight. I’d love the directions to the Dutch oven cobbler.
Sounds reasonable. And a good choice by him with 10” giving a nice blend of agility and stopping power.
Has the homeowner been arrested yet?
Regardless of crime or the threat there of, it will be done "zoom" style so Biden's image can be totally controlled. The Dem's will herald this as the modern way.
When frying pans are outlawed, only out laws will have frying pans.
Bam!

You can substitute canned blueberries for the peaches.
