EXCLUSIVE How conservatives could make it very hard for Democrats to replace Biden on the 2024 ballot if he has a disastrous debate or steps aside

An influential Republican group is already prepping for a counter-fight should Democrats try to pull Joe Biden off the top of the ticket.

'Due to the rapid decline of President Biden, as seen by his bizarre episode at the G-7, The Oversight Project is taking the unprecedented step to release this draft,' said Mike Howell, Executive Director of The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, in a statement.

'We are monitoring the calls from across the country for President Biden to step aside, either now or before the election, and have concluded that the process for substitution and withdrawal is very complicated. We will remain vigilant that appropriate election integrity procedures are followed.'

If Joe Biden were to withdraw at any point before the Democratic National Convention, it would be up to the delegates at the DNC to pick a new nominee. But from there, they can expect legal challenges from Republicans looking to prevent any other Democratic nominee from getting on the ballot in certain states.

The Heritage Oversight project has set their sights on three contentious swing states where they believe taking Biden off the Democratic ticket would not allow anyone else to replace him: Georgia, Nevada and Wisconsin.

Wisconsin does not allow withdrawal from the ballot for any reason besides death.

In Nevada, no changes can be made to the ballot after 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday in June of an election year or 'a nominee dies or is adjudicated insane or mentally incompetent.'

If Biden were to withdraw less than 60 days before the election Georgia his name will remain on the ballot but no votes will be counted.

In Texas, the two party's nominees have until the 74th day before the election to withdraw from the ballot. Some states, like South Carolina, do not allow candidates...

A SCOTUS appointment has several problems:

1. Harris is dumber than a bag of rocks. Would she trade the ever-more-likely chance to become the first female President for a career that relies on and displays her intellectual capacity? The sharpest I have ever seen her was during Barrett’s confirmation, when she adopted the air of a sniveling angry-principal, reading pre-written questions and cutting her off. It’s different to be on the receiving end.

2. The Senate Judiciary Committee. Can you imagine the sitting VP subjecting herself to the likes of John Kennedy’s questioning... during the national election?

3. Although only a simple majority is needed, if enough procedural delays are made (unlikely though), the whole confirmation process could play out smack in the middle of the election.

3. Sotomayor and Kagan are unlikely to give up their seats with little margin for error.

That said, they could make her look like a victim from “witch hunt” Republicans on the JC. The media would happily go along.

If Biden is replaced it’s a tacit admission by the democrats that they have conceded the White House are battling to save the down ballot from massacre.

For someone to step in at the last second and win would require a superstar, and not just a superstar but a superstar’s superstar and the democrats don’t have anyone like that on their bench, no one. If they did they would have run them in the first place and never let the potato run at all.

They can pic someone who may motivate their base to turn out better than the Potato, but they can’t win the White House with that, they can only win if they can solidify and motivate the base and win the independents and no one they can stick in at the last moment can do that and they know it.

So replacing the Potato is about stopping the down ballot hemorrhaging by at least solidifying the base to make sure that low advantage blue districts for elected Republican congressmen because Potato can’t motivate the base to show up.

If Potato is replaced, especially after the convention, the Dems are openly conceding they have lost the WH are are simply tryin for stem the bleeding as much as possible down ballot

Good points. All the more reason for Trump to bring up the ‘what to do about Kamala’ issue. She’s their problem not ours.

Kamala assuming office by accident seems a lot like Iran getting nuclear weapons. Can’t allow it to happen but you can’t stop it either without doing something drastic.

It’s their problem. Trump needs to rub it in.

Interesting. I guess it’s not surprising that they’d reserve as much discretion for themselves as possible, but their hands may be tied. Once Biden/Harris is nominated, the states will print their ballots and it will be very difficult to get any substitute onto the ballot in many states. Their best bet will be to tell voters to vote for Biden/Harris and since Joe won’t be sworn in even if he wins, Harris will succeed to the Presidency automatically under the 25th amendment.

On the other hand I would not be surprised to see Dem chicanery if the Biden/Harris ticket won. They might try to get their electoral college electors to vote for their chosen substitute instead of either Biden or Harris. And if people complain about that, they’d say that it means the electoral college should be abolished.

The key word here is "adjudicated". I'd buy a ticket to see that circus. The real problem is that the Dems didn't leave themselves a lot of maneuver room by pushing the convention date to 19 August. It's going to be a very interesting couple of months.

If Nominee Bidet is declared disabled, and if they follow da rulez- and remember there are tons of Dem ultra left looneys who would go rogue if da rulez weren’t followed - Jaime Harrison MUST meet with the leaders and report back blah blah blah.

The REAL power is with the Politburo, erm Committee, which “is authorized to fill the vacancy”. It says nothing about reflecting the will of the Democratic leadership of the United States Congress and the Democratic Governors Association.

If Trump is playin 9D chess, he should dispatch a street team of reporters and jam mics into the faces of Jaime Harrison, Executive Director: Sam Cornale, Deputy Executive Director: Roger Lau, Political Director: Alana Mounce, Chief of Staff: Anatole Jenkins, Vice Chair of Civic Engagement and Voter Participation: Keisha Lance Bottoms, Vice Chairs Michigan Medusa/Gretchen Whitmer, Tammy Duckworth, Ken Martin, Treasurer: Virginia McGregor, Secretary: Jason Rae, and Finance Chair: Chris Korge,

And livestream asking them “who will you appoint as Nominee when Joe is declared disabled after the Convention?”

They’ll follow their rules. But the rules give them a lot of discretion and they’ll use that discretion to nominate Kamala. Otherwise, their candidate won’t be on the ballot in a lot of states. Of course, I suppose it’s possible that they’d gamble that those are the states they’d lose anyway.

That’s why I began my discussion of “da rulz” with the FACT that the ballot printing process is in the hands of the 3,000 COUNTIES, the majority of which are NOT controlled by DemoKKKrats. Now, maybe a majority of D voters are in the other counties, but if you remove all or even most of the D voters in the counties controlled by the GOP who follow the rulz, Rutabaga will lose MILLIONS of votes if they are not kosher on the rules.

Agreed -visually, this shows you where the counties are distributed.

The Dems are going to keep FJB right where he is. Why not? The steal is a forgone conclusion. If PedoJoe got 81 million votes last time, they'll say he gets 85 million this time because of the Convicted Felon.

It's all such BS. All of it. Our elections are fraudulent and the Uniparty is happy as can be about it.
