The world’s on the verge of a carbon storage boom[doggle]
MIT Technology Review ^ | recently | James Temple

Posted on 06/17/2024 7:08:16 AM PDT by xoxox

A growing number of carbon storage projects are on the way across California, the US, and the world—a trend driven by growing government subsidies, looming national climate targets, and declining revenue and growth in traditional oil and gas activities.

With these hundreds of looming projects, communities will be forced to weight the climate claims and environmental risks of capturing, moving, and storing carbon dioxide.

According to liberals, we are always “on the verge” of something or other. It’s just the way they think.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea. Plants need CO2 to exist, and limiting CO2 emissions will end up killing plant life for all the wrong reasons. .😒😑🙄

There’s like 0.04% CO2 in the atmosphere and their big increases are unmeasurable ,LOL

” trend driven by growing government subsidies,”

They inadvertently told the truth. It’s just another scam funded by stolen money from us the taxpayers.

“Follow the money” is almost always the right answer.

“According to liberals, we are always “on the verge” of something or other. It’s just the way they think.”

It isn’t so much that they believe that, it’s more about them knowing that there are enough useful idiots that buy their crap that they can leverage to gain power.

Scaring people is a great way to manipulate them. They know what they’re doing.

It’s a massively bad idea. Our pla et had o er 1200 parts per million co2 in tne past and life thrived with no problem at all- the world and everything in it didnt burst i to flames, species didnt die out en mass, and life went on handily.

We are currently in a co2 deficit- we are only 1/4 whatit used to be. We need to enjoy it while it lasts becauee it very likely will go down again, and plants and species will suffer once again

Man’s contribution to the the total 0.04% is just 0.00136%, and the left fall all to pieces and lie about how weare ruining the world. Can you imagine wearing something that covered just 0.00136% of your body and trying to convince folks that that amount was causing “catasrophic warming”?

We need to just look at gl9bal warming scam artists with lity for them being so mentally disturbed and so diaboliczlly demon driven in their attempt to destroy society

“just 0.00136%”,

as a decimal fraction, is 0.0000136.

ok thanks- i was never good at math- our contribution of CO2 to the 0.04% total greenhouse gases woudl be written out 0.0000136 then? No “%”?

Carbon capture device. Runs off water and sunlight emits oxygen.

Fricking amazing!

I screwed up and reversed two digits.

0.0000136 would be the decimal fraction.

Converting from % makes the number look smaller.

yeah, that is what i meant- 0.00136 percent of the 0.04% is man’s contribution of CO2- so small as to be insignificant and unable to move the climate one way or the other

Totally unrelated, sort of...

I was looking at alternatives to nasty dirty cutting fluid for my machine /fab shop. A company has developed a method of using liquid carbon dioxide to lubricate endmills and cool the metals. Looks promising as there is nothing to clean up or dispose of.

https://www.fusioncoolant.com/technology/supercritical-co2

I wonder if I can get billions in tax dollars to use it in my shop...

Most of the time you can read a paywalled article by clicking on the "Speedreader" icon in the URL bar of Brave and Firefox browsers (highlighted in yellow below). It works for this article.
