Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark remains spicy.
The Chicago Sky rookie forward was called for a flagrant 1 foul after hitting Clark in the head during their matchup on Sunday.

Less to do with race and more to do with jealousy and the fact that Reece is a sloppy player with limited skill sets. She had five personal fouls in the game. The headshot to Clark was flagrant, but not necessarily intentional. Follow her eyes and she’s watching the ball all the way.
As for the racial aspect, Indiana probably has the whitest team in the WNBA. Of the five starters yesterday two are white, and of the eight players who saw play-time, four are white. Two of the four white players were not fouled at all, one was fouled once, and Clark was fouled six times. The four black players were fouled a total of seven times.
Clark was obviously targeted, but less for race and more out of jealously of her stardom and endorsement contracts, which Reese will never get because no mainstream corporate sponsor wants a thug with a low commend of the English language as a spokesperson.
“Angel needs a year off without pay. Total ban on playing the game for 12 months for any organization.” I agree, maybe with her looks she could make it as a swimsuit model. I kind of doubt it.

Biggest disappointments are Angel Reese(BIG LSU fan of all their sports) and lesbian alumna of UCONN Bird, Taurasi and Stewart.
She had a very good night, which is probably why she was attacked. The opposition was a bottom-feeder team.
I saw the hit from two angles in slow motion. It was flagrant all right. There was a wind-up, hit and follow-through - clearly intentional.

Hard foul, yes, “flagrant 1” call - probably appropriate, but, this stuff happens all the time: Reese took a swipe at the ball, probably trying for a spectacular block, and missed, with the follow through whacking Clark in the head.
The article title is a flat out lie: THREE of Clark’s teammates, two of them black, ran over to her immediately.
That all said, if Reese knew what sportsmanship was, SHE would have gone over to Clark and helped Clark up. Do that, and I don’t even think Reese should have / would have received a “flagrant 1”.
