Let's not beat around the bush, and instead just get down to brass tacks.
San Francisco has opened its first $5.5 million free food “market” in an area where many grocery stores have left due to high crime. Approved residents simply show a benefits eligibility card, load their carts with whatever they want, check out — to keep track of outgoing inventory — and leave without paying a dime.

The food desert is about to become a massive food fight.
“Approved residents simply show a benefits eligibility card, load their carts with whatever they want, check out “
At most stores there you can fill up your cart without proving eligibility with no need to check out!
District 10 Is much like District 9. Watch the movie.
It’s called communism: “From everyone according to his/her abilities, to everyone - according to their needs!” Finally achieved in the most capitalist country of the world - great United States of America! Marx, Engels, Lenin and the rest must be proud - their wildest dreams came true!
This is just a test program to see if humans will accept money given to them.
Results are inconclusive at this writing.
If successful, the program will be expanded.
This has been a secret for decades. Grocery stores in those bad areas had government assistance for years. Taxpayers paid for the “free store.” But one day the chain finds that business model is now untenable. Plus they can’t protect their employees. Store closes and no competitor is stupid enough to move into that mess.
The free food is probably junk food, nothing I would ever eat.
Junk food won’t improve their health, but add to their probability of catching diseases, leading to free healthcare.
Isn’t that swell?
And after they walk out with their cart full of “free” food, they’ll turn around and sell it for profit!
Isn’t Capitalism great?

I give it 6 months.
BUT it’s San Francisco. They may just eat the pain for 14-18 months.
At the ‘Shelter Half’ in Tacoma (home of the VVAW and anti-war activists and free North Vietnamese film of the war on a projector) the little cafe always had free serve yourself hotdogs.
In Mission Beach in San Diego they had a 99 cent breakfast of a couple of eggs, biscuits and gravy, and something else like hash browns or buttered toast and coffee, but it was free if you couldn’t pay.
The Hare Krishnas in Pacific Beach San Diego served a fantastic free supper meal to all takers, about 7 courses of first class food, clarified butter, a yogurt drink, gourmet Indian food.
So in other words, they opened up a food bank.
Well, how are people supposed to get food if the government doesn’t give it to them?
Bayview is mostly Asians I do believe. Blacks have been leaving the city. Too expensive.
The Human Fund!
Bet the morale among the actual employees is going to be rock bottom - they are working to put food on their tables while seeing hordes of people just take whateverzand no doubt, trash the bathrooms and such leaving the workers to clean up after them.
6 months.... just long enough to get through the elections. I am sure that is purely coincidental and has nothing to do with buying votes.
“As a country, we have a long history of taking care of our fellow citizens who cannot take care of themselves. That said, the controversy starts with those who will not take care of themselves.”
Correction: We HAD a history of taking care of our fellow citizens. That has all changed now... with Marxist Democrats in firm control, especially if you’re a US Veteran. Now, the emphasis and priority has been placed on taking care of our newest citizens, the future Democrat voting illegals still flooding across our open border.
Bums will take it all, and it will all end up in the garbage.
