Newly released emails show Fauci’s NIAID deliberately used typos to evade FOIA requests

The cover-up continues to unravel at an astonishing rate.

On May 22nd, Dr. David Morens appeared before a congressional subcommittee to testify on the coronavirus “pandemic,” and what was presented was nothing short of explosive; Morens was (he’s now on administrative leave) a “senior scientific advisor” for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) under the direction of Anthony Fauci.

Greg Piper of Just the News reported on the hearing, noting perhaps the most shocking detail of all—Morens’s emails revealed a certain professional practice at Fauci’s NIAID, and that was the implementation of typos, a deliberate misspelling of certain names and words, as a measure to evade detection on FOIA requests. (FOIA stands for Freedom of Information Act, and anyone can file these requests with federal offices and agencies to gather information that would have previously been out of public view.) Here’s what Piper wrote:

GOP staff released a report that showed Morens – now on administrative leave – bragging to Daszak that ‘there is no worry about FOIAs’ because Fauci is ‘too smart to let colleagues send him stuff that could cause trouble’ and Morens can ‘send stuff to Tony on his private gmail, or hand it to him at work or at his house.’

Emails released by the subcommittee this week show Folkers internally referred to EcoHealth, which passed through NIAID grants to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as ‘Ec~Health,’ and virologist Kristian Andersen, who said Fauci ‘prompted’ him and other scientists to write the narrative-setting ‘Proximal Origin’ paper against the lab-leak theory, as ‘Anders$n.’

The new emails suggest NIAID employees ‘strategically use language to avoid key word searches’ by intentionally misspelling expected search terms, and that Folkers specifically did this ‘routinely,’….

It is sad that this is not even shocking behavior.

FOIA doesn’t mean all that much if it’s just OK for federal employees to hide stuff with impunity.

In a private industry product liability case, this conduct would send people to prison.

That’s what government agencies do. A scrivener’s error becomes the sole basis for withholding public information (or what should be.) Yet, when something like that happens from their side, it’s always, “You have to take the INTENT of what we were trying to accomplish in mind.”

I’ve seen places I worked for do the exact same thing and always despised it but couldn’t say anything. Now that I’m retired I’ve been looking for word of some reporter trying to FOIA where I worked so that I could now call him up and tell him ‘how’ to feed in his FOIA request so they couldn’t ignore it.

Fauci is a crook.
Did anyone think otherwise?
No surprise that his organizations would cheat the FOIA’s investigation?

FAUCI BELONGS IN PRISON!

This is a common practice of dishonest lawyers!

Where they’re obliged to certify something they know is a lie in a court filing, they deliberately insert a misspelled word or typographical error into the certification which can later be used to void the certification if the truth comes out.

Replacing a zero with a capital “O” when using a monospace font like Courier will sometimes be enough to do the trick.

(A word to the wise is sufficient. If you find this in your litigation opponent’s filings, make a motion to the vourt to strike that attempted filing. They’re up to no good, and you should try to find out what it is that they’re hiding!)

‘send stuff to Tony on his private gmail,

That is a violation of the Federal Records Act. This is a felony, punishable by (depending on a bunch of stuff) up to 10 years in prison.

Hillary used private e-mail and a private server too. That is why she was sent to prison. Oh, wait. She is a democRAT. Different tier of the justice system.

Pres. Trump’s failure to investigate Hillary Clinton and put her on trial was a gigantic strategic error.

I think it’s very possible Fauci was one of the key people in developing the lab enhanced viral Pandemic.

That he then was chosen (by Trump I have to admit) to lead the task force (from a science perspective) to fight it, and waspaid the highest salary in the US government, may be the GREATEST IRONY IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND.

I’d like to hear one greater.

In retrospect, choosing a cell biologist (Fauci) and a geneticist (Collins) to lead the national response instead of an epidemiologist and a public health expert was a wrong move.

That was my first impression as well. I can’t even bring myself to post the “This is my shocked face” graphic.

The fact that someone like Hillary Clinton could have her OWN unsecure email server and wipe it clean as is public knowledge, and get of with...NOTHING, never mind the use of non-government email aliases by Clinton, Obama, AND Biden to conduct government business both with and without classified categories of documents (also publicly known and provable) and not even get so much as a finger lifted against them tells you the sorry state we are in.

They don’t even bother hiding it anymore. It is a source of great entertainment for them.

And don’t forget that if some run-of-the-mill soldier, civil servant, or contractor had willfully mishandled “sensitive information” the way Mizz Clinton did, that person would be in prison no “ifs ands or buts”.

The same goes regarding former Senator Biden and former Vice President Biden.
