Hunter Biden owes ex-wife Kathleen Buhle $2.9M in alimony and other debts as she is set to testify in gun, tax evasion trials

Hunter Biden owes his ex-wife $2.9 million after a protracted legal battle — and now his one time spouse is expected to be a key witness in his looming trials.

Kathleen Buhle, who was married to the first son for 24 years before they split in 2017, claims Hunter has blown off agreed-upon alimony payments, legal fees, interest and other debts to her over the years.

Buhle sued Hunter in 2019, shortly after he married current wife Melissa Cohen.

The dispute with Buhle has been simmering in Washington, D.C. courts for years, and in 2021 Hunter was found to be in violation of his divorce settlement.

Now Buhle, mother to three of Hunter’s five kids, is set to take the stage as Hunter faces federal trial next week for illegal gun possession, and again in September when Hunter goes on trial for alleged tax crimes.

The dispute makes a is mentioned in special counsel David Weiss’ tax evasion indictment of the younger Biden.

Their separation agreement stipulated Hunter would pay Buhle $37,000 a month and 50% of any earnings over $875,000 annually, according to court documents obtained by Axios.

Team Buhle, however has maintained that Hunter didn’t pony up what he owned in 2017 and 2018, a period in which they allege he made more than $2 million per year. The alimony stopped altogether after she filed sued, her attorneys contended to Axios.

I do have to ask, M.R, why would Humper deserve more than half?

Hunter is a slimeball. But he shouldn't be punished for being one. We need a reform in our laws regarding marriage. It should be that when a couple gets divorced, the ex-wife receives enough to support her daily living needs, which includes the mortgage payment. The rest of it, is "his money".

Like I said, it's not against the law to be a slimeball.

POS needs to pay. I imagine he cheated on her the whole time. He should be made to honor the settlement instead of having some person on this site thinking this guy is above the law.

He isn’t but he is allowed to be above the law with no repercussions.

I guess that makes her a hostile witness, so her testimony would have to be stricken. He’ll have better luck with his hot ex-sister-in-law and hot niece, they’re still collecting for putting out . . .

I’m actually on your side. I’ve seen too many men financially destroyed by gold digging harlots. These wenches would spend all of the husband’s earnings, while holding no job of their own, then demand to be kept in that lifestyle.

My ex pulled that crap. When she used that line in front of the judge, I calmly, yet forcefully said “ We have a house we cannot afford, $100k credit card debt in your name, and less than $300 left in the bank. I can keep you in that lifestyle for zero per month, try again.” I faired pretty well for North Carolina law.

Why would they get a job?

You could argue that this is involuntary servitude. If a man is forced to work in order to support his ex-wife's lifestyle (alimony).

It should be reasonable. Both parties get together. They've been living together as a married couple for a decade or two. So they decide that she gets the house. (In reality, it's 50/50 so they should sell) It should be pretty simple.

Now we know that the guy always get railroaded in the courtroom so there's no incentive to get married. That's something we need to change. Eventually, our birth rate will get as low as South Korea and Japan. It's not that bad yet. But we're on our way there.

That is what I want revealed. How the FBI was used to “fix” stuff for Joe Biden.
