Drink up Dems... a hell of a hangover's coming! MAUREEN CALLAHAN rages at Trump's guilty verdict travesty - and reveals why feckless, gloating liberals have just crowned our next president

Trump lost. So has America.

Not that you would know it from most of yesterday's news coverage, so-called reporters and journalists practically levitating over 34 guilty verdicts in a trial that was nothing but a political hit job.

You can dislike Donald Trump, as I and so many others do, and still find yourself outraged.

This case — which the feds declined to prosecute — was falsely, flimsily predicated on 'election interference'.

Want to talk election interference? How about keeping the GOP nominee for president off the campaign trail for nearly two months? Or scheduling his sentencing just four days before the Republican convention?

To all the progressives who are gloating and cheering — well, live it up now, because you've probably just handed Trump another four years.

America is diminished by this. We are becoming smaller and pettier with no reversal in sight.

This is a loss beyond legality. It's hard to take pride in a nation that not only abides this but revels in it.

Not for nothing did Trump's website crash yesterday. Working people, struggling in this economy that Biden insists is gangbusters, are donating in outrage. Trump's campaign raised a mind-blowing $34.8 million within hours of the verdict.

His polling went up by six points according to a snap survey by DailyMail.com.

How's that for a Pyrrhic victory?

These are the people who turned out by the thousands for Trump, in the Bronx last week, who now see in him what they know all too well: Profiling and targeting by a crooked criminal justice system.

I think these evil people in control are maneuvering to get Trump into jail to complete their plan. Think Epstein.

Can you throw our RINOS in there as well? May they get an annal examination too! I am so effing disgusted with them right now it makes my stomach turn! A few of the faithful came out in support of Trump. The rest hid in their little caves underneath their beds, cowering in fear. Bunch of effing spineless pieces of shit! Our country is being destroyed and going down the tubes and these bastards all they care it’s about bending over for the rats! I am 110% that these bastards have been blackmailed by the FBI DOJ and the CIA. They have Epstein videos and recordings. These bastards were at the island of Epstein. This can only explain why they’re always scared shitless to defend the base. Can you say blackmail? God, I hate them!

This tramp just had to get this in...that’s OK though as much of the country absolutely despises the MSM and their flunkies like this writer.

There are some interesting videos on youtube concerning the law of unintended (or unexpected) consequences throughout history. For example, in the late 50’s the Communist Chinese became concerned about the overwhelming sparrow population affecting crops. So, everyone was compelled to go after them, shoot them, swat them, whatever. However, the unexpected consequence was that the sparrows had been keeping the locust population down, but now locusts were free to attack the crops and food supply. And did they ever. This led to a major famine in China.

I think the communists in America did something equally devastating (for them) yesterday. We’ll see.

I'll vote for Trump. It's obvious that he's a martyr. But he was never my preferred candidate. It's obvious that I was never a member of his "cult".

I would suspect that many independents are feeling the same way. We have no choice at this point but to vote for Trump.

Assuming that our votes will still count in November. Perhaps, the outcome is already decided for us. We'll find out in six months.

Independents do have other choices. They can write in somebody as a protest vote, as one of my sister brags about doing in 2016. They can just not vote.

But I respect those who realize that we are not at the point in this country where we have the luxury of voting for the nicest personality. I was so proud of one of the gals at Trump’s Bronx rally, who said she dislikes Trump, his words make her angry, but we can either have WWIII under Biden or have Trump make America great again. I was so proud that she recognized what the choices are.

As Frodo said to Gandalf in “The Lord of the Rings”: “I wish none of this had happened. I wish the ring had never come to me.”

Gandalf replied, “So do all who come to such times. But that is not ours to decide. We have only to decide what to do with the time that is given us.”

I wish we lived in a time when politics was about making policy. But unfortunately we live in a time when “politics” is really about lawless thugs doing whatever they want with no checks or balances. I’m thankful that you seem to recognize where this country is at, and I hope and pray that you will take the effort to vote even when it seems distasteful to you.

A nice thought, but there’s no way he will have the votes after election officials get done with counting and recounting this time around.

It will be interesting.

I wonder this time if they can cheat and create enough votes for Sloppy Joe.

Ths term uniparty covers everyone on both sides. Not all of republicans are uniparty, just the leadership and those that suck up to the leadership.

They deployed the apparatus in 2020, "won", refined it in 2022, "won", and are now refining the process to "win" in November.

I registered to vote by mail yesterday. I'll be voting for Trump.

I could've registered to vote in Florida where I maintain state residency. Trump doesn't need my vote in Florida. He'll win that state handidly.

I could've registered to vote in California, where I am currently domiciled. It would've been a wasted vote. Trump will not win California.

So I registered to vote in Virginia, where I currently own a home. Biden has been forced by polling to open a campaign office in Virginia, a state a Republican hasn't won in twenty years.

I'd love to help flip Virginia.

You don’t have to like him, just vote for him.

We need to throw a spanner into the works, and Trump is that spanner.

It is not a Trump cult you buffoon. Every Trump supporter I know want’s Trumps POLICIES. They only trust Trump to deliver those policies. When will they start zotting losers again?

“get Trump into jail to complete their plan. Think Epstein.”

And I’ll have to revise my tagline.

I see this a lot, and I am guilty of having done it earlier in my voting career. People vote only for the president, and just make it a party line vote all the way down the ticket. President is important, but more important is the offices of representative and senator. These are the people who make the rules they want us to live by. If we as voters do not start paying more attention to those two offices and what they are doing or not doing, then we deserve what happens to us.

QUIT voting for the incumbent because it is convenient, read, listen, and question those running. If they do not do what they “promise” boot them and vote for someone who will.

I once heard someone say both houses of Congress should be required to open each session by repeating in unison and loudly, “We are servants, not masters.” All in all not a bad idea.
