If I’m reading this right (it’s not 100% clear to me) both pilots were following air traffic control instructions.

Reads to me that the King Air was already on the ground but the controller didn't know it and panicked.

We're weeks away from a spectacular crash and no one in the government or the Propaganda Media is going to address the lowered standards and Didn't Earn It (DEI) hiring.

It has been increasingly difficult to find people capable of serving as controllers, and also difficult to make it worth their while to live near a place like Washington DC, but the power brokers don't care as they fly in private jets through smaller, sometimes private, airports.

It's all okay though, the magicians making so-called Artificial Intelligence is going to solve all our critical thinking skills deficiencies.

I flew into London-Gatwick once and as we neared the ground the pilot gunned it and went around. He explained later that there was another plane on the runway ahead.

He also said that there would be no additional charge for the additional flying. - British humor!
