long overdue
Mighty Thor(ium)!
Doing the right thing for the wrong reason.
At least until November and then they will suddenly change their minds..............
Didn’tEarnIt types will be hired. Money will be laundered. It will cost 10 times the original estimate and take years longer to build. See the hi-speed choo-choo debacle in kalifornia.
Must be an election year
November looms, and talk is cheap.
The democrats must be so sure of their left-loony base voting for them that they feel they can support Israel and nuclear power without fear of losing their votes.
“cheaper plants powered by natural gas, wind and solar.”
That’s a laugh.
~wink wink~
Because green energy is so wonderful
Trump has always said we should use all available commodities...and that would include coal.
Too little and far too late. The swamp of regulations by the Executive Branch and Soros-funded lawsuits guarantee that no construction on any new plants will begin within the next two decades, and by the time the plants come online, energy shortages will be something our children and grandchildren will be accustomed to.
Georgia Power states “the Vogtle plants Unit 3 and 4 are the first newly constructed nuclear plant built in the US in 30 years.”
Vogtle Unit 3 Planning started in 2006 and the plant went on line in 2023.
I read the article and saw that the WH “will announce a new group that will seek to identify ways to mitigate cost and schedule overruns in plant construction.” Apparently the WH believes the delays in building these plants are the fault of the power companies. I must have missed the part where the feds will reduce regulations that impede the planning and building of nuclear power plants.
Russia mines 43% of the world’s uranium (it would be higher if they held all of Ukraine) and most of that they just sold to China.
They pretend to support Nuclear and may even support funding, but they're counting on Enviro-whacko obstruction, because they don't really want a solution.
I predict that the world will suffer greatly from this. Things are very unstable. Nuclear power requires absolute stability in the world to even have a chance to work without causing devastation. Even then its a crap shoot. But everyone just wants their EV’s and big screen TV’s.
Too little, too late
It’ll be years before any benefit
Carter and the overreaction of Three Mile Island destroyed the nuclear industry in the this country. We would be who knows where if that had not happened.
That incident and the movie China Syndrome closed it all down with fear and hysteria.
45 years late in moving back to this given the time involved in approvals and the building of nuclear power plant and with today’s DEI stuff no way I want to be near any of that.
Has the angry Gretard been apprised of these developments?
