Not everyone who dies of fentanyl is a drug addict.
Occasional recreational users can get something, cocaine for example, that has been laced with fentanyl and drop dead. Many of these people have very little history of using drugs.

I knew two who died suddenly shortly after HS. One had a brain aneurysm and the other had a heart attack (undiagnosed congenital issue). Both were 19. This was thirty-six years ago.

A boy in my high school class died when he was hiking and fell off a cliff. Nice kid, really sad. We all went to his funeral and his mother was crying her eyes out. Poor woman..
