Wait till the upcoming Brics Summit, the world’s banking regulators mandated Gold to be a Tier One asset by 2024, no paper contracts, physical only.

All Central Banks in the World have been buying tons….little brother Silver will be pulled up exponentially…the current silver: gold ration is 82:1…..” in the earth” ration is 15:1….Ag should be pricing about $400 an oz…..

…..it will attain that.

My wife has a Gold IRA that also has about 7,000 ounces in silver. So she’s pretty happy these days.

Silver tends to be a byproduct of copper mining. With copper at $5 a pound, that will boost mining. So, silver should come back down a bit over time.

Unless the D’Anconia Copper just shuts down the mines.

Who is John Galt?

Yes, but with a very long lead time

Production from existing mines has peaked. New mines, on average, take 12 years to go into production as no one wants them in their backyard. For example, earlier this year, environmentalists were able to get the Panamanian government to shut down the 15th largest copper mine in the world (First Quantum's Cobre Panama), which is 1.5% of world production.

The only thing that will destroy copper prices is a big recession.

Screw silver! (just kidding)

What about copper?

$149 out the door for a 250’ roll of 12/2 Romex?

My bids just went up 15%.

Yeah, but my wife wants a pool, and if I can’t pay for it I don’t need it.

“That investment in silver at $18 per ounce for one-ounce rounds may yet pay off...”

Even better is those $15 per ounce rounds. I watched silver (and copper) today and couldn’t believe it as it continued to go up. And gold! It went as high a $2418 this afternoon before pulling back to $2414.

What do you think will happen with collectable silver coins like Morgan dollars?

Morgan’s and Peace Dollars all disappearing. Just go to Apmex, JM Bullion , etc and see what both graded and ungraded are bringing.

Generic bars, Eagles, coins are all being produced by many different mints-old US coinage supply is finite….silver pre-65 dimes, quarters and halves premium’s have gone way, way up.

I don’t know what delta7 thinks, but I can tell you clean Unc Morgans were fetching $50 a piece on that famous auction site when spot was $20. No special numismatic value (rare dates or mintmarks) but, Morgans in general are collectable due to their age, and condition.

I wouldn’t bother with anything actually Numismatic unless it’s a hobby. Way too much “blue sky”.
