Imagine a record label where the heads of preeminent brass (classical), jazz, and blues labels collaborated with Beezwax Records, LLC to issue one release per year in their respective genres.
Imagine a record label whose A&R vetting was guided in part by a select group of visually impaired, eclectic audiophiles tilting toward the same.
Imagine a record label that limits its market exclusively to a set of prequalified subscribers who eagerly await their next Beezwax Record, and when they get it it has their name on it.
Imagine a record label that dovetails seamlessly with the manufacturers of physical media and that honors the unique trade dress Beezwax Records has already established.
Imagine a record label that promotes its musicians with professionally produced spotlight vignettes that let them tell their story.
Imagine a record label that makes an art of marketing while reflecting the passion of both artist and audience.
Imagine a record label whose audience is in essence signed to the label and enjoys limited, exclusive ownership of Beezwax Records physical media.
Imagine the collaboration Beezwax Records could generate to promote its musicians robustly on broadcast media and in live performances worldwide.
Imagine a record label whose musicians have skin in the game, an incentive to excel, and are compensated fairly and squarely in perpetuity and may will that benefit to their posterity.
Imagine a record label endowed with the best legal expertise in recorded arts.
Imagine a record label endowed with the most aggressive shopper to film and television the music arts has ever known.
Imagine a record label that seeks to make use of all forms of recorded media, but especially does R&D in new technologies for delivering audio art.
Imagine a record label willing to explore new and different genres besides brass, jazz, and blues.
Imagine a record label named after a substance used in the first audio recording known to man and visually marked by the two colors scientifically known as visible to the human eye, namely those on a bee.
Imagine a record label whose dedication to brass music is located in the band instrument capital of the world, Elkhart, Indiana.
Imagine a record label whose most fundamental premise is that there is no greater gift given, short of life itself, than the music arts.
That's Beezwax Records.
I truly hope that together we can make it happen. The best things demand a good team, and you are now on it, whether on the giving or receiving end.

A while back I posted a thread on Free Republic "In Search of Eclectic Audiophiles." The responses were encouraging, and in fact result in a dynamic heretofore not considered: the Beezwax Records allow the visually impaired to vet their efforts.
Folks, I'm here to tell you the contacts I've made in life as related to live and recorded music are astonishing.
My respect for music begins with the premise there is no greater git than music short of life itself.
My heart is pounding. I have a 21-year-old legacy from 1997 to 2018 that was about to fade into oblivion, and now I am given to author a record label legacy that has me so invigorated that I will not stop until I am called home to the Creator whose everlasting love gave us music.
Godspeed.
Imagine being bought by sony for a perverse sum in cash and stock.
Meanwhile, things to do on one’s birthday this day:
1.) Stop by my local bank branch to initiate an event that will document Beezwax Records LLC’s first money deposit in the form of rolled coin in an old Beezwax box.
2.) Negotiate the purchase of three preowned vehicles, all same make, model year, and milage, all different in color. One for my wife and me (silver), one for my son (blue), and one for my daughter (red). They are 2020 Ford Escapes. Nothing fancy.
3.) Field a scheduled phone call with the National Sales Director for Disc Makers to discuss how the Beezwax Records unique trade dress can merge and be mutually benefitial.
4.) Meet for an hour with my city councilwoman at large to hear her out on her duties, our mutual outlooks life and civil conduct. It was highly invigorating.
5.) Meet for 30 minutes with the personal aid to my representative in Congress to deliberate over the nature of US citizenship and the nature of oaths to the Constitution.
6.) Stop by personal bookkeeping agency to schedule a meeting that will help solidify and depthen the ability for Beezwax Records LLC to function in accord with tax law.
7.) Field a phone call from a legal agency that specializes in sole LLC conduct in order to have antennae for compliance and gain insight into contracting.
8.) Help my son move into my downstairs apartment while he hopes to sell his home and gain a new footing in life.
That’s quite a bit to do, but I had the day off.
You have a lot going on! May God bless your efforts!
I wish the best of luck to you!
So kind of you to wish me this on this day. Thank you, and God bless in every way.
That said, one has to recognize that the music business is full of improbable success stories, with talented dreamers somehow making it. Perhaps Beezwax Records will be one of them.
Happy Birthday You sound invigorated!
Its birthday time around my house too. My wife’s is Tax Day,
April 15th. So its been easy to remember since day one and that was over 40 years ago.
Your comments are not only well-received, but especially appropriate. You did not just spit that out without thought.
Please allow me to respond accordingly. Beezwax Records has no business plan in place as yet. It will take at least a year, maybe more, to have one.
Yes, yours truly critiques the conduct of the recorded music business, not as a way to enrich himself, but as a way to connect the artist with their audience in a way the music industry has not understood since the inception of audio recording.
He also does so with a book in hand, written by a man who ran a preeminent jazz record label and who requested to lend his ears to our back catalog from 1997 to 2018.
There’s a lot going on here. Your comments serve further to solidify the efforts of Beezwax Records LLC to be a catalyst for change like the music lovers on this planet have yet to envision.
Thank you. Yes. I am invigorated like you would not believe. At the same time, you know what life expectancy is all about.
God gives grace. He then calls us home under that same grace. I can only do what I am given to do for this short time, and believe me, I ain’t in it to get rich.
God bless you, and thank you for commenting here.
Pinging all y’all who were so helpful in that other thread related to eclectic audiophiles. We have a long way to go, but you have had a part in moving this endeavor forward in a manner neither of us could fully contempplate.
The friend of my friend (music) is a friend of mine. Rock on!
I hope we do not get entangled in such a thing. Not without strictures that honor our approach to recorded music.
There may be hope in the recent rise of TV script writers to become producers and show runners with creative control and a big share of the financial benefits. The result is superb shows like The Sopranos (David Chase), Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul (Vince Gilligan), and Yellowstone (Taylor Sheridan). That took decades to happen, with writer Roy Huggins and writer-producer Stephen J. Cannell pioneering the way.
Just as with actors, writer's agents played a key if little-heralded role in navigating the perils of the TV business. Who knows, but agents for musicians may also end up helping musicians and Beezwax Records crack the music business.
Beezwax Records LLC is generating about two dozen business cards, each one unique just like the 19,768 CDs that left our doors from 1987 to 2018. Each one is to be aimed at a key area of expertise necessary to make Beezwax Records LLC function as envisioned.

I am a bit reluctant to use FR as a platform to announce such things as this, but I have come to know FR to be chock full of interesting people from all walks of life, even though a bit saucy at times.
