The result is superb shows like The Sopranos (David Chase), Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul (Vince Gilligan), and Yellowstone (Taylor Sheridan). That took decades to happen, with writer Roy Huggins and writer-producer Stephen J. Cannell pioneering the way.
Just as with actors, writer's agents played a key if little-heralded role in navigating the perils of the TV business. Who knows, but agents for musicians may also end up helping musicians and Beezwax Records crack the music business.
