Wow.
“Every star has at least one planet”
Is this verified?
Did you see every star and verify that each star had a planet
That is speculation and there is no room in science for speculation!
All just waiting for us to explore.......................
” ... thinking about how so insignificant we really are.”
If I may add my version: “ ... thinking about how so very special we really are.”
It’s a great, big universe
And we’re all really puny
We’re just tiny little specks
About the size of Mickey Rooney
We could explore the stars.
But first, we need to explore our own gender-fluid identities.
Might give one pause when it comes to complaining to the creator of all that about the stuff going on in their life…
We are just a tiny Speck in a Really Big
Snow Globe that is awaiting a Shaking !
.
Hold on Amigos!
And imagine how many planets have beings living on them and they have huge telescopes looking out at (us) the cosmos, wondering if they’re the only ones around.
It’s foolish to believe we are alone in the universe given the quadrillions (probably a huge understatement) of planets out there.
And in all that vastness, God chose to make me. And You. Each and every one of us, specifically and individually. He thinks of EVERYTHING.
I'm not buying that. I wonder what other conclusions they might have that they can't support by hard evidence.
When God creates, He doesn’t do anything halfway.
He's thinking like a physical being. An infinite being (God, for the rest of you) would not experience the universe in terms of less or more, bigger or smaller, many or few. I would be just as significant to such a being as a supercluster of galaxies, because there would be no difference in the percentage of effort necessary to create, sustain, and relate to either one. The material proof of this, BTW, is that the universe at every level of size demonstrates the same amount of order and complexity: all of the atoms in the cell of a leaf are just as ordered and complex as all of the solar systems in a galaxy, or all the galaxies in a supercluster. There is one, and only one, existence that drops me to the floor in awe and majesty and worship, and that existence loves me and everyone so much as to have become one of us, and be willing to exist within us. Hallelu Yah!
Wow indeed. It’s wild to ponder all that real estate. On the God and aliens topic, I can’t imagine creating all those worlds just for huuuumans to populate. Even with insane future technology, we could never spread out that far. Surely other species are present somewhere out there. Look at all the forms of life on this rock we call home.
I see that pic and wonder about all the Star Wars battles going on.
“Second star from the right and straight on ‘till morning.”
Uh, which one?
The second. From the right.
Uh, right, uh, of which one?
Let me see that! Oh...well...I see...never mind. Wanna get a beer?
And yet we all act like we matter. Even atheists refuse to shut up and simply be the bag of chemicals they theorize that they are.
Gee, it’s like we were hardwired to know we matter. Like a benevolent deity wanted us to know that about ourselves.
Sometimes I’m just really humbled and grateful when I think of our Creator…
F**k that sh*t! We have nukes. AND Chuck Norris. AND Pabst Blue Ribbon. Just let these little alien f**kers try to mess with us!
The Galaxy Song, by Monty Python
Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown
And things seem hard or tough
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft
And you feel that you’ve had quite enough....
Just remember that you’re standing on a planet that’s evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour
That’s orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it’s reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour
Of the galaxy we call the ‘Milky Way’
Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
It’s a hundred thousand light years side to side
It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick
But out by us, it’s just three thousand light years wide
We’re thirty thousand light years from galactic central point
We go ‘round every two hundred million years
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe
The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know
Twelve million miles a minute, and that’s the fastest speed there is
So remember, when you’re feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there’s intelligent life somewhere up in space
‘Cause there’s bugger-all down here on Earth!
I checked the link and could not find the image.
Whether any others have life on them is still unknown.
But it is probably safe to assume that the earth is the only planet with chocolate...or Super Bowl commercials.
