This is the shocking moment a Good Samaritan attempted to gun down an alleged carjacker before being mowed down and killed by the man. Jonathan Adam Lecompte, 38, died after being struck and thrown into the air by the stolen vehicle after he fired four shots at a carjacker outside a Burger King. The incident happened last month in Lumberton, North Carolina, after police say Ricky Alex Driggers, 28, stole a vehicle and then hit Lecompte. Authorities charged Driggers with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted common law robbery, larceny of a motor vehicle and felony fleeing to elude. Footage of the incident, which has been widely shared on social media, shows Lecompte aiming a firearm at Driggers moments before he was mowed down.

Basically a thug carjacks a workers vehicle, a Good Samaritan tries to intervene, shoots 4x at the thug from point blank distance and misses every time, thug then puts Goodyear tread marks all over the Good Samaritan …killing him.
After watching this I’m going to practice drawing and dry firing for 1/2 an hour today then do some drawing and live firing tomorrow.
How can you miss at that range. Better to shoot out the tires then let the cops figure it out.
no idea how he could have missed him so many times that close.
Don’t shoot yourself. If you are practicing quick draw, then you have a round chambered and are more likely to injure yourself by inadvertent discharge than to come into a situation where 2 seconds count. If you are encountering situations where 2 seconds count on a regular basis, then you should consider not going to that section of town.
“How can you miss at that range.”
Maybe he didn’t miss, maybe he didn’t use enough gun.
Maybe we are all missing the point.
Maybe he should not have been playing cop.
Had he killed the car jacker and survived, he would have been charged, unless there is some evidence that he saved the life of another.
Gives creedance to the CCW training I giv: Stay in your lane (or not your circus, not your monkeys)
“Maybe he should not have been playing cop.”
That is a separate issue. I personally would not shoot someone for a property crime. Too much liability. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the murderer’s defense council attempts a self defense plea. IMO that’s not valid.
a .44 magnum would have blown the perps head clean off...right through the window OR the body of the car. not enough gun is right.
No bail? I don’t understand. Why was he even charged?
Why was who charged?
If I'm not mistaken, that's a NC DOT truck. I doubt the State allows their crews to carry weapons while working.
“a .44 magnum would have blown the perps head clean off...right through the window OR the body of the car. not enough gun is right.”
Maybe would over-penetrate and kill an innocent bystander. There is also such a thing as too much gun.
That guy is gonna needa new hard hat.
Because they've seen Jack Bauer do it with one shot, and think its is real.
IT’S A CAR!!! Let them steal it. That is what insurance is for. How utterly stupid.
10 mm
"Him" as the subject of the verb?
I carry a 10 in the small of my back. Where do you carry your .44?
