Hoover Institution senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson on SiriusXM's 'The Megyn Kelly Show' addressed the divide on the right on Israel and called out Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens for criticizing the situation on the ground in Gaza.

Most of the evangelical community I know is still very pro-Israel. I think what we're talking about is the libertarian, right intellectual movement.

I know that Tucker Carlson is voicing things, Candace Owens has, the CATO Institute's been very vocal. There's some people on that website who've called for breaking relations almost with Israel.

But I don't think it represents most Christians, much less most Americans. But I don't know quite what their argument is because I've seen so many of them.

It doesn't take a lot of brains to say “there's 500 million people in the Middle East and there's 12 million that live in a democratic government.” And that is the only democratic constitutional system there.

Australia, Egypt, Israel, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and New Zealand shall be deemed to have been so designated by the President as of the effective date of this section, and the President is not required to notify the Congress of such designation of those countries.

But they are a declared ally. Why would any trust us, if we backstab an ally?

None of those are laws.

And the law establishing any country as a "non-NATO ally" involves military cooperation and the sale of arms, not mutual defense obligations.

There are more than a dozen countries in the world that have this kind of arrangement with the U.S. Almost half of them are Islamic countries.

Even if the country of Israel is not the best ally, the enemy of my enemies (Muslim countries) is still my friend.

Israel helped us when we were killing afghanis and iraqis after we were attacked by terrorists on 9/11.

My sense of morality and ethics says we should be helping them after they were attacked by terrorists who did far worse proportional murdering.
