The 20-year-old passenger who jumped off a Royal Caribbean cruise last week after an argument with his dad has been identified as a former high school football player and avid hunter living in Florida.
Levion Parker, of North Port, Florida, has been missing since he jumped overboard April 4 in front of his brother and father on the cruise to Cuba and the Bahamas’ Grand Inagua Island, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
The release of his identity comes shortly after the Coast Guard called off its search for Parker.
Social media posts show Parker often went on hunting and fishing trips. He also played football for North Port High School before he graduated in 2022, according to the Daily Mail.
Parker jumped off the 18-story Liberty of the Seas after reportedly getting into an argument with his father.

My impression of him, after looking at him, is that he probably was mentally ill. It wasn’t the arguement, but his mental illness that caused him to do that.
What a selfish sphinter
“Parker’s father was “fussing at him for being drunk,” fellow passenger Bryan Sims told The Post.
“When we got to them, he said to his dad, ‘I’ll fix this right now.’ And he jumped out the window in front of us all,” Sims said.
“He was pretty drunk,” Sims added.”
If one reads the article, it states that the 20 year old was DRUNK! His father chastised him, they argued, and he jumped.
Didn’t anyone ever warn this young man about the dangers of drunk diving? :-P
"Heeelp!"
LOL...VERY clever!
Not funny. See post three. The kid (yeah, a 20 year old to me is still a kid) may have had mental issues.
Drama boy mat not have known that there’s a strong slipstream along the hull of a ship that will pull you into the screws. And he may not have understood that stopping or turning a ship like that takes long enough that finding a man overboard is highly unlikely.
At least his parents didn’t give a handgun so he could kill kids indiscriminately
"His dad was fussing at him for being drunk, I guess," fellow passenger Bryan Sims said.I suspect there will be lawyers getting involved in this.
"When we got to them, he said to his dad, 'I'll fix this right now.' And he jumped out the window in front of us all."
It remains unclear how Levion could have been drunk, considering that the minimum age for alcohol consumption on Royal Caribbean ships during sailings originating in North America or the Caribbean is 21.
No one thinks clearly when drunk. What a sad ending for stupid immature behavior, leaving behind a grieving family.
Yes, sadly.
He was DRUNK, so there’s really no evidence that he had “a mental issue”; more like a “parental issue, whilst drunk as a Lord.
You really need to get a grip on reality of real life and get off your brainphone so you can make real decisions.
You’re correct; I doubt that he understood much of anything at all, in his drunken state AND didn’t know that info when sober either.
Still not a funny thing. What if he had been your kid? He’s dead. A family has lost a son and that pal is not funny. That type of loss hurts deeper than brains like yours apparently can understand.
They shouldn’t have stopped making chest leashes like they made for tots they are needed now more then ever for many.
