Rock Hill, SC (March 29, 2024) – The American Cornhole League (ACL) is pleased to announce that it has signed a new two-year agreement with ESPN to continue broadcasting cornhole on ESPN’s platforms in 2024 and 2025. The first event of the new season will be the ACL Kickoff Battle 1 airing on ESPN+ from April 4th through April 7th.
After signing an initial deal in 2016, fans have embraced the thriving sport, with enthusiasts and pros across the country picking up their cornhole bags in part due to the spotlight ESPN has lent the sport. The new agreement includes exclusive rights to the ACL Pro Cornhole Series, SuperHole, and ACL College/High School, as well as non-exclusive rights to the ACL Open Series. ESPN will distribute over 300 hours of ACL events per year across its linear television and digital networks, the largest total amount of content ever as part of the relationship.

I went to CBS and they had a cornhole tournament, Iguess we have digressed from bowling balls to bean bags.
Flame away.
Pro bowlers became too good for the sport to he entertaining.
Lenghten the lanes maybe.would help?
More slippier floor wax, to ruin traction for spin?
Isn’t Buttigieg in a cornhole league?
Lol!
Is this just a backdoor way of making corn holing acceptable to the public?
I haven't bowled in about 30 years, after moving to North Texas from El Paso. I was pretty good, last average was 208, while winning the City's Men's title in the early 90s. LOL, the trophies are sitting somewhere in the garage.
I made my spending money as a scorekeeper in HS. I cleaned up during monthly semi pro tournaments in the SF Bay Area. I was making 40-50 bucks a weekend, in 1970 dollars, tax & FICA free.
Thank God... I couldn’t sleep at night worrying that ESPN wouldn’t have cornhole.
BTW, what the heck is cornhole?
$10,000 prize for a weekend tossing bean bags. Wish I could do it.
Basically it's people throwing beans bags into a hole, like skee-ball.
Is it just me? Or is “corn toss” a name that doesn’t bring to mind a Deliverence scenario...
Can you imagine being Ned Beatty and going through through your entire adult career and everybody whispering “hey that’s the guy that got boofed and deliverance?”
I took a nice date to that movie thinking it was a Bluegrass themed film... good gravy, we came out of that theater with PTSD.
I know... You didn’t get my joke.
The naming of the anus as the ‘cornhole’ is very pathetic. Just crude and and stupid.
The original cornholes likely are hard to find any more. For centuries ear corn was harvested and stored in wooden corn cribs, usually having raised wooden floors. Varmits (mostly rats) would chew holes in the floor to get to the corn without being seen by the barnyard dogs and cats. A barnyard without predators of rats and mice was unheard of.
Ping to #15
The trophies should be in the shape of baby bottles.
Where I’m from, cornhole means something totally different...js
I was the score keeper in my family. I also usually won.
He said “Corn-Hole” heh, heh, heh...
