The teacher singles out her white students to remind them how privileged they are.

“You privilege white boys always want to push it”.

This is a normal thing in California schools. Even though she’s white, this is still racism.

Using today’s terminology, she is “othering” those children and right in front of their peer group.
That is both stupid and harmful. She is signalling to the rest of. the class that it is okay to be rude and insulting to certain students, so long as that student is white.
