Has anyone else noticed that Youtube is at it again, trying to block users who use an adblocker? The past several days have been hit and miss. About the only way I've been able to get around it is one of two ways:
1. to save videos to Watch Later, close the browser, then reopen the browser to view them, or
2. delete all cookies and cache and then log back in.
But either of these two fixes are temporary because it happens almost every day now. Has anyone seen this, and have a newer fix for this?
Thanks.
Pay the $13 monthly ransom to avoid ads altogether.
I use Brave, problem solved.
They are really becoming a pain.
I too have had many problems with YouTube. 😬
I tend to use it for music mostly. Danish National Symphony Orchestra is a current favorite.
I’ve heard even Brave users are having problems too. Youtube is finding ways on an almost minute to minute basis to circumvent everything that is being thrown at them.
I wish more Youtube channels would migrate to Rumble or Odysee. I keep asking them to!
Sorry, but my first reaction to that is, "in a pig's eye!"
If you really want to get around it use one of the many sites/ add-ons that will download youtube to MP4. Those come down ad free.
Pay them and they got c/c info with all your tracking data
When they start to bother me about ads, I go with a separate browser that is not logged into YouTube and whose cache is cleared out after each session. The limit there is I can't submit a comment or thumbs-up a video. I usually go back to my logged in browser, ignore the message, and summit the comment and/or thumbs-up.
just DL them

“At it again”
Ads are their revenue. Basically you want to steal their product.

Rumble has ads.
Foxnews is doing also
Just hit reload when the video does not come up. It usually will play after a single reload.
Yes, I have noticed this recently as well.
I just refuse to use YT whenever I get pop up asking to remove my adblocker and accept ads.
I don’t believe that Rumble plays adds during a video. Only before them. And I have rarely gotten them at all.
I use the Duckduckgo browser with its built-in blocker. It works pretty well.
