I sure hope not. If Trump can do it, then anyone who follows Trump can do it. And the imperial presidency is bad enough as it is now.
We have a system where much of the power is reserved for the states. As I see it, the best Trump could do in regards to cesspools like NYC is to make sure the 2A is honored. And make sure the elections are fair. Those are federal concerns.
Then if the voters want Democrats, they can have Democrats. Sad for the many good folks there, I know.

Democrats are in favor of violent crime against women, conservatives, Jews especially, Asians, cripples, veterans in wheelchairs, and children.
I will vote for Trump again, but the dangers from a president that has “MAGA” reflexively supporting his appointments and actions are great.
How many Freepers realize that his first administration made it legal for thw federal government to publish false budgets and not reveal its real spending (way beyond the black ops that were already on the books)?
How many Freepers know all the ways that his admin limited and qualified the “Common Rule” support for the Nuremberg Code that had long been operative for our most critical departments and agencies?
And how many Americans were killed by his admin’s rollout and response to the “pandemic”?

If that was the one I’m thinking of, what a colossal scumbag that man is. He followed an Asian woman in the subway who apparently didn’t look the right way at him or somehting. She sat down on a bench right near a camera, and you could see the perp duck behind a wall, then emerge with a plastic bag full of his excrement, and he sneaks up behind her, and shove the feces in her face then beats the hell out of her before leaving.
And ehat is the democrat response to women getting raped who ask for pistol carry licenses? “Nope, just pee on your attacker” (yes, they seriously said this to college women who asked to be armed because of the growing rapes on campus! And some folks wonder why the left are despised so much!)
Federalizing the local police force has long been an ambition of the Democrats and is in line with Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. Get things so bad the people plead for action and be willing to relinquish controls to the Government. Once they have the power it will never be given back. And it will not be used for liberty.
This is all being done for the drug cartels. NY and other cities had crime under control and deliberately changed everything - policing, prosecutions,bail, drug policies - to create heaven on earth for the drug cartels.
It’s painfully obvious.
