When I awoke early on Tuesday morning, I was stunned to learn that the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore had collapsed. We are being told that it was a tragic “accident” and that there is no evidence that any foul play was involved. Hopefully that is true. But no matter how it was caused, this tragedy is going to have an enormous impact on U.S. supply chains. And of course this comes at a really bad time, because Houthi missile strikes in the Red Sea and low water levels in the Panama Canal have been putting a tremendous amount of strain on global supply chains recently.

Good ideas!
Thinking further ahead, use the original plans/specs and rebuild it just as it was before last Tuesday.
You just KNOW that all manner of insincere, attention seeking politicians (of all stripes and jurisdictions) will try to get involved and muck the whole thing up, unless told and forced to stay out of it!
I’m sure the Brandon Team will keep that from happening using their incredible administrative skills to correct any problem, just like they have done with the economy, the border, Afghanistan, the Middle East, crime, housing, etc. (Do I really need to put a sarcasm tag on that?)
There is the technology to literally saw giant chunks out of the debris field and lift multiple 100’s of tons out of the way. Not sure why the .gov stooges haven’t called them in.
All they have do is clear the single deep channel first.
The container ship Dali and the other parts of the bridge can be cleared after that channel has opened.
They can use tugs to ensure no additional incidents occur.
I've seen no reports of casualties from unfortunate commuters
that may have been crossing the bridge.
Other experts say no. This can be re-routed fairly easily. REmember when the China Virus was supposed to destroy supply chains? We had about 2 weeks of being out of toilet paper and diet A&W Root Beer. Then nothing.
This is more clickbait hysteria.
There are many more than 2 agencies which can claim jurisdiction. See last link

There is only one stripe in that part of Maryland. All corrupt leftists.
There’s a 1.6 mile suspension bridge nearing completion in Michigan. The Key Bridge was also 1.6 miles. I’d bet 90% of the engineering and approvals are done already. But that would make too much sense. After all were Baltimore and we need our bridge to be different than Detroit.
Heard the Coasties/Navy are bringing in two cranes to deal with debris in water.

Now 4 crane barges.
“Americans were given a gift from God and too many people couldn’t understand why government couldn’t be used for good”
There are (and have been for quite some time) people in government that have made their lifes work to erase the concept that government exists to serve the American people....and couldn’t care less what the Constitution says and I can assure you God has absolutely nothing to do with their motivations......just the opposite I suspect.
Show me a liberal Christian and I’ll show you a relative rarity.
Modern supply chains are self-regenerative.
There are more bridges in the area so drive a little longer , truckers don’t mind
Because “New American Prophet” is an expert on supply chains.
Golden Ray Salvage in Georgia has the VB10,000 is available, but has not run in 2 years so it would require a month or two to restart it.
Below: cutting section of a car carrier that rolled over (half the size of the Dali).

Who Buttplug ?
I understand your points. My point is that there are better tech methods than the puny(in marine terms) cranes the Navy is supplying.
BTW you wouldn’t catch me or anyone working for me with a torch anywhere near that site. The cable saw works well and is fast. The ship wreck in the Caroline proved that. I suspected that the bow was on the bottom. Thank you for confirming that.
There was enough warning the police shut the bridge down. If you watch the video, you see flashing lights of cop cars racing across the bridge prior to the impact. There was a semi was not fast enough, that saw it and stopped short, and you can see the section it was on collapse.
Not so ... plenty of liberal Christians, especially Catholic Nuns and Priests that serve the poor or immigrants. Plus, you can look to a lot of WASP mid-upper class. Where do you think the Karen’s come from? Evangelical, Spirit-filled Christians are mostly conservative however, but unlike the liberals, the conservative ones rarely bring politics to the pulpit.
Well, we can certainly count on multiple intra/inter-government squabbles effing up the bridge rebuild!
That is ALL we can count on!
Do you understand the limits truckers are under. OTR truckers are paid by the mile or by the load. Speed is the key to income.
Many local drivers (including my son) are paid hourly. We live near Baltimore and are affected by this.
He’ll work more hours but is under more pressure to get loads delivered. He’s already maxing out at 60+ hours a week.
Plus, our wonderful DOT limits work hours. 11 hour drive, 14 hour max day with required 10 hours off. 32 hour required break after 70 hours on duty.
Wasting 2-3 hours a day in traffic is major. Yes the trucker certainly do mind.
