The building will be destroyed and the lot redeveloped. If you buy a commercial property that cheap you probably aren’t looking for rental income. You’re looking for the lot. It has to be cheap enough to cover the cost of demolition.

There is a contract. If the government will not maintain a safe environment for shoppers I think Westfield has a strong case to break the lease. The government owns the property, the government police should guard the property and the government should charge criminals…. The government has made the Mall unsafe for shoppers!
