‘Historic progress’ on electric cars may turn into a historic rout in swing states.
This week’s Environmental Protection Agency tailpipe rule amounts to an imminent ban on gasoline-powered cars
Who else approves? The White House will point to a cheerleading automotive industry, but peek behind the pom-poms and you see an administration with a gun to carmakers’ heads...
“They’re coming for your truck.” An energy trade group has already been up with ads making that point in swing states, calling on Americans to reject Biden’s “EPA car ban.”
Today’s Democratic Party is entirely dedicated to the proposition that all Americans should be told how to live.

Four more years of Biden and electric cars will be the least of our problems.
Well, I have a 2023 Silverado that cost as much as my first house so many years ago. Has a 10-year warranty... wonder if that becomes moot in coming years?
Whoever posted that comment is truly ignorant.
This is an example of why they want to implement Social Credit Scores like they do in China. You will have a low Social Credit Score so you will not be allowed to purchase gas for that environmentally unfriendly vehicle.
March 19, 2024 Combustion engine vehicles will continue to be available for sale in Louisiana, pending two bills in the House of Representatives.
“Has a 10-year warranty”
Normal warranty is 3/5 years.
Parts of it came with 10, I filled that out with the extended. I’m 64 and want no out-of-pocket costs in the coming years. Yes, likely a bit of a waste of money.
“Biden Is Coming for Your Truck”
I almost want to see that day, just for the SATISFACTION of watching all the people here who keep saying:
“Trump is ‘too brash’, no way will I vote for him”
“What’s the point in voting, they’re just going to cheat anyway”
“There’s no difference between the parties, they both agree on everything”
“My Senator is a RINO, he doesn’t deserve to be there, we’d be better off with a Democrat”
“You can take my truck (and guns, for that matter) over my dead body”
It would be a tiny bright spot thinking of you guys, and you know who your are, while this country turns into a total shithole. At that point, we’ll be hearing:
“Why didn’t the Republicans stop Biden” (hint, they didn’t have the votes)
“I still have my guns, but now I can’t use them, take them to the range, or even show them to anyone, and I’ll spend 10 years in jail if anyone rats me out”
“I still have my truck, but no place is left to sell me gasoline”
Again, I will LAUGH at you guys, since you guys ASKED FOR IT.
Maybe I will have to stick 5 or 10 thousand into a 27 year old truck. (paid 3k for it in 2017. A beater.)
Pushing electric everything while sabotaging the power grid.
My aging F-150 has a quarter-million miles on it and is just getting warmed up. If one of Xiden’s EV’s showed up FREE in my driveway I’d use my pickup to push it in my pond.
I’ll wait until July 4th forth though and I won’t have to but any fireworks.
Uh, is this what they’ve been working on for so long? Another dictated rule that carries the weight of law? 🐂💨💩! 🖕
Anybody making a cover-shell for the bed, that includes solar cells, so the “solar shell” an trickle charge the battery? (Thanks in advance.)
Another true statement is that if they come for my truck they had better bring help. I know they will but...
“This week’s Environmental Protection Agency tailpipe rule amounts to an imminent ban on gasoline-powered cars”
Ridiculous assertion. The entire economy would come to a halt.
There is a single person, not the entire EPA.
Take out the person first and others will get the message.
The strategy is stop playing their game and start an entire game where you set the rules
>Well, I have a 2023 Silverado that cost as much as my first house so many years ago. Has a 10-year warranty... wonder if that becomes moot in coming years?<
If the criminals are still in charge, it will be!
I think my 22 y.o. Dodge Ram will be running when I’m in the ground. I paid $1670 for it 6 years ago when some mechanics couldn’t get it to past emissions inspections after a new engine was dropped in. The fault was some water in the gas tank and a missing vacuum line. Now I have a 22 y.o. truck with less than 40k miles on everything. Joe can kiss my butt!
The big problem will be acquiring gasoline.
Even with stabilizer gas does not last over a year.
The gasoline refineries will be mostly shutdown and prices to the moon.
When I received a company ride I parked my driver for a bit over a year. ran the tank dry... but not exactly there is always some left.
Added fresh gas and primed the fuel pump...
Started right up!!
Ran for a few days and died, fuel filter plugged with jelly.
What a mess to remove.
