Everybody reading this can thank me for giving them an extra 90 minutes of their life saved from being wasted on this flick. However, some of you might still check it out to see if I was kidding about a giant Talking Spider acting as the shrink for the Cosmonaut (I wasn't kidding.)

I made it to about 30 minutes. What a waste.

I saw a recap of it. The science is bad. Very bad. But who cares about science? I promised myself I would never watch another Adam Sandler movie again. For my own protection.

Thank you for your sacrifice. I like the older Adam Sandler movies, but nothing recent.

Now 1997’s low budget Spaceman is an interesting little movie I’d recommend. Hard to find, but worth the watch if you can find it. Odd but highly entertaining.

I was horrified by the trailer.

From IMDB:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11097384/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_spaceman

Due to mixed reactions from test screenings, the film was in post-production for almost 3 years.

Sandler is either having a LATE Mid-Life Crisis, or has finally gone off the deep end.

LOVED ‘The Waterboy.’ Now THAT is comedy. You should stick with what you know.

P.S. Thanks! As you can tell, the LAST Adam Sandler movie I’ve seen IS ‘The Waterboy.’ ;)

Adam Sadler was great in Uncut Gems.

I'll have to take your word that the film is not worth the watch.

Even though it had a giant talking, psychoanalyst spider, and how do you beat that?

Thanks for the warning!

I made it through all 90 minutes... it was bad, real bad.

I honestly couldn’t believe what I was watching...

Did anyone notice the spider got smaller over time... my guess is that it was never real... and the shrinking represented his sanity coming back...

Regardless... I can’t believe I watched the whole movie...

I agree with the conclusion. But I kind of liked the spider. I was sad when he died.

Didn’t care about anyone else in the movie.

Is this a new movie? I have no clue about movies anymore. With a name like ‘Spaceman’ I would skip it anyway.

I know people like all these sci-fi movies but to me they are a waste of time. There are no planets with whole life forms on them leading all these super complicated ridiculous societies. They just seem like reasons for the prop department and the wardrobe department to make more and more ridiculous stuff.

Dune. There’s a piece of work. Gad. It’s so far beyond reality. When are the people going to come ‘back to earth’ so to speak and spend some time learning something worthwhile.

Netflix’s honchos have a multi film contract with Sandler. Its audience really likes the guy’s productions.

Published 10:28 AM CDT, January 31, 2020

[LOS ANGELES (AP) — Expect more Adam Sandler in your Netflix feed.

The streaming giant announced Friday that Sandler and his Happy Madison Productions have reached a new deal with Netflix to make four more films. He’s had five films with the studio along with the stand-up special “Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh.”

Netflix leader Ted Sarandos said the company is excited to extend its partnership with Sandler, because audiences “love his stories and his humor.” The company said his 2019 comedy “Murder Mystery” starring him and Jennifer Aniston was the most popular film on Netflix in the U.S. last year and one of the most popular in eight other countries.]

I’ve never been an Adam Sandler fan. I liked his “Happy Hanukkah” song from
his Saturday Night Live days, but that’s about it.

Thanks for the warning.

Adam Sandler movies appeal to some folks and never will to others, similar to Nick Cage.
