U.S. Jake Paul, 27, to fight 57-year-old Mike Tyson live on Netflix: "Time to put Iron Mike to sleep" Updated on: March 7, 2024 / 12:28 PM EST / CBS/AP
Social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul will fight former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Texas, Netflix announced Thursday.
The streaming platform will provide live coverage of the bout between the 27-year-old Paul and 57-year-old Tyson, who hasn't fought since he and Roy Jones Jr. met in a 2020 exhibition that ended as a draw.
A short video trailer posted by Netflix shows Paul getting off a helicopter on a rooftop and then coming face to face with Tyson.

Well thats odd
Jake Paul is a decent boxer. He’s been training at club level all his life and he’s been doing elite training since he started this new career.
He’s not world-class, but neither is Mike Tyson now.
I saw Tyson hitting the heavy bag about a year ago.
He was still scary.
If Jake Paul’s mental condition is anything higher than “leafy vegetable” after this fight, we will know it was a set up.
Mike Tyson may not be a top boxer anymore, but he can still punch hard enough to destroy even a talented amateur.

Tyson is still a beast. He knocks Jake Paul out!
27yo v 57 yo seems like a fair match-up.
These days.
His punch is still there. That’s one of the last things a boxer loses.
I agree that Paul will probably lose, but there is a good chance that he will show himself better than people think.
Shades of Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6)
I tend to agree that Paul will be seeing the mat a few times in this fight.
I can’t think of Tyson without thinking of Keenan Ivory Wayans portrayal on “In Living Color”

I have often posed the question would you take a punch to the gut by Tyson in his 1988 prime for $100,000.00
I like my brain well enough. I wouldn't take $1 billion to give him a free punch.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
That’s too little. But I take the punch in the gut over one in the head.
I thought Charles Barkley was next up for Mike Tyson?
He is an idiot. One of his opponents maintained to no denials that he was a juiced up on perf enhancers idiot to boot.
Tyson will probably be too big of a favorite. These type of bouts involving the Pauls of the world have been as much circuses at times as real fights.
I give him credit though-you could not pay me to step in the ring with Tyson.
He fought a few times at Trump’s properties incl the Mike Spinks destruction.
