“My fame has reached the skies.
Sunny Ithaca is my home. Atop her stands our seamark,
Mount Neriton’s leafy ridges shimmering in the wind.” (Odyssey)

Altemus had estimated that Odysseus had an 80% chance of successfully landing on the moon, citing previous failed attempts as an advantage. “We’ve stood on the shoulders of everybody who’s tried before us,” Altemus said Bereshith Launch date 22 February 2019, 01:45 UTC

Let’s hope it does not encounter any hostile lunatics (or whatever the inhabitants of the moon are called).

It's NOT the "U.S.". It's a privately owned company based in the United States.
A distinction WITH a difference.

Awesome accomplishment to send a craft 238,000 miles to the moon! …Still Interesting that we haven’t gotten a man further than 380 miles since 1972.?.? 🤔

So they have updated Surveyor 3 mission? That’s what, 1966. Not 1972.
In two years they hope to do another (crewed) flyby, first done in 1968
Thank you Senator Proxmire (D) Wisconsin, for killing NASA

NASA is superfluous, IMO. Cut their budget 90% and give it to real American innovators and entrepreneurs.

Were the rockets fake? Did we have men orbit earth? Did men orbit moon? Where did real end and fake begin? Did men get scooped out of ocean by fake ships and crew? Where did the men hide while they were supposed to be on route to moon? Did all the radio receivers throughout the world in on fake too?
