I have always hated The Eagles almost as much as I hate Fleetwood Mac.

What, a New York prosecutor asserting criminality where none exists? Who ever heard of such a thing?

**If scorned by some as an overexposed artifact of the ‘70s,**
Overexposed would be an understatement. Back then a buddy of mine would call into the local fm station and complain about its abundance of airtime. And he was a pretty easy going guy.

I liked the early Eagles when they had Bernie Leadon, Randy Meisner and those guys.
I’ve read some bad things about Don Henley. Not sure how true they are, but where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.
When Joe Walsh joined the Eagles, I didn’t care for their sound. I don’t mind a lot of Walsh’s stuff when he was solo, but I didn’t like his effect on the Eagles.

"...and, of course, “Hotel California,” the more than six-minute-long, somewhat mysterious musical tale of the goings-on at an inviting, decadent but ultimately dark place where “you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.” Yeah...ya know...Hell.

The Eagles are way over played on radio and I rate them way down there with Fleetwood Mac. Personally, I think Hotel California is about as boring a song as was ever penned.

I liked the Eagles first 3 albums. Especially Desperado. I can play much of Desperado on acoustic. And FM before the unintelligible warbling Nicks came on the scene. I still put on Kiln House occasionally.
I’d rather poke my ears out with a soldering iron than hear Rumors or One Of These Nights again.

The song “Hotel California” is a rip-off of Jethro Tull’s “We Used To Know”
