TV Drug Ads Are Not About Selling More Pharmaceuticals, They’re About Big Pharma Buying off the Media
Liberty Daily ^ | Feb. 21, 2024 | Ethan Huff

All those obnoxious pharmaceutical commercials that get laced into just about every television and cable “news” program that airs in the United States these days might seem like they are simply about selling more drugs and getting people hooked, but Big Pharma’s true agenda is actually much more sinister than that.

Former pharmaceutical industry insider Calley Means spoke to Tucker Carlson recently about what he described as an “open secret” within the pharmaceutical industry. In essence, Means says that Big Pharma is buying the media with all those ads, which allows the drug industry to control what gets broadcasted on television and across the internet.

“You’re saying that pharma buys TV spots not to convince people to ask for specific drugs from their physicians, but to subvert the news business?” Carlson asked Means during the segment.

“This is an open secret working for pharma,” Means responded. “The kind of silly ads you see between the news breaks, the point of that is not – it’s largely to impact the customer. But pharma has already got that. They’ve already bought off the doctors. They’re good on that.”

“The news ad spending from pharma is a public relations lobbying tactic, essentially to buy off the news,” Means continued. “They’re not investigating pharma. The news has become basically a referee. That you are a terrible anti-science luddite for asking why the shots that we require our kids to get, that fundamentally by their own advertising change the immune system of that child for life.”

The full interview is available for viewing below:

VIDEO AT LINK...................

American media controlled by Big Pharma Functioning as referees, Big Pharma-controlled media outlets basically steer the conversation about a given matter in favor of drugs and vaccines while denigrating any and all who question them, including media talking-heads and personalities who almost always shill for the pharmaceutical industry.

The news referees questions about Big Pharma “when the two largest vaccine makers in the country are literally criminal enterprises. GlaxoSmithKline and Merck, in the past five years, have settled two of the largest criminal penalties in American corporate history for bribing doctors and creating misleading research,” Means further revealed.

“So, you literally have the media playing referee so that you can’t even ask a question.”

The tens of thousands, if not millions, of Americans who were injured by Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) “vaccines” are having a really tough time getting their stories told on the “news” for precisely this reason – because to tell such stories is equated as being “anti-science,” according to the pharma-controlled media.

Keep in mind that the U.S. is something of an anomaly when it comes to drug advertising. In most other countries, advertising prescription drugs directly to consumers is illegal, which is why non-U.S. news is typically more honest and hard-hitting.

Consider the Bangkok Post, a popular media source out of Thailand that recently ran a story about the dangers of COVID injections. Such a story would never be published by the so-called “legacy” media here in the United States because drug companies would likely retaliate by defunding U.S. media sources in retaliation.

I've noticed the drug ads dutifully reflect leftist themes: we see a lot of open homosexuality, women doing traditional men's jobs, families without men, people doing yoga and other non-Christian practices, and - lately - a lot of overweight women, in keeping with the left's war on "body-shaming." And, or course, the ads are full of people doing that stereotypical "black" form of dancing, and often they do it in the middle of the street with passersby and street vendors joining in.

Perhaps the silliest ad - for Oak Street Clinics - featured a middle-aged black man dancing and jiving his way through the clinic, even sliding down the hall on a wheeled office stool. Of course, the smiling staff all join in. Someone in my local bar said that if someone did that in real life, the staff would call security and the man would undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

The “jig is up” has become clearer when you consider the numbers of ads for certain medicines for certain ailments far exceed the representation of the ailment in the population. 100% of the population obtain no benefit from the dominance of ads for ailments the majority do not have.

I think Big Pharma must pay some posters here on a per-pro-vax-post basis. There are a handful here who tirelessly defend and promote the bullsh*t “COVID” “vaccines”, and constantly call everyone else “anti-vaxxers” and spreaders of “disinformation”.

Related: “Dr. Robert Califf, former Food and Drug Administration commissioner, told CNBC in May that companies can't promote their products under an Emergency Use Authorization – and currently, all three COVID-19 vaccines are authorized via EUAs. Once the vaccines are fully approved by the FDA, that would change.”

This is the excuse for why the jabs aren't advertised on TV, where all side effects must be addressed. “With A Little Help From My Friends” the various octopus arms of Govt work together.

LOL. Really? I thought it was a great way to sell their product by having woman riding a bike through a park while a voiceover says that the product can cause diarrhea, migraines, vomiting, insomnia, stroke and death.

I’m old enough to remember when pharmaceutical companies were forbidden to pitch their drugs on TV. Years later, in seeing the consequences of Big Pharma advertising, it’s easy to see why it wasn’t allowed.

I don't watch much television, particularly commercial TV, and tend to see it when I'm out or visiting. I even have music on media for my car because AM/FM radio is obnoxious with ads and I don't pay for satelite... but it amazes me how many and how annoying drug commercials are.

First of all, in most ads, the people are happy and rarely fit the profile of the people who would need them. People are always fit, active, on vacation, and on the beach or dancing. Diabetes and cholesterol drugs have young slender people on them, just smiling away, soooo happy they are taking these drugs, while the narrator lists all the scary side effects.

The absolute worst one is turning their drug into some sort of broadway musical!
Really? I mean realllly????

I told my wife that we must be missing out on life.

We don’t dance and jive all over town, etc.

But maybe what ever that old guy is on will cure our dull life?

Seems the worse side effects are moving in slow motion, smiling at every thing mundane, staring at sunsets, etc.
