As a retired person living on savings I can’t say I’m much benefited by much higher salaries in the USA, but if Biden could reduce food prices by 75% I might be able to say something positive about him.
When we went to Poland, we were told one of the no-nos there is to mention the low prices to Poles, because to them, those prices were considered high, because of their relative low salaires.
I might be able to get a very good salary in the Washington, DC area.
But a house like mine might fetch $700,000 there instead of the $320,000 I might get for my Florida house.

The advantage of higher salaries in the US shows up in greater buying ability of imported Chinese stuff, fuel and manufactured goods.
Teachers are paid much more in the USA, but so are construction workers, truck drivers, lawyers, shop clerks, burger flippers, etc.

For example, is the spot price of oil on the open market different in different countries? Yesterday, it was approximately $80. But, if my wages are lower in Russia, can I buy a barrel of oil for $30?
Is an ounce of gold $2000 in the USA but only $600 in Russia? But a pound of flat iron steak can be $15 in the USA and only $4 in Russia. Wonder how that works???
