Tucker Carlson Says Trip to Russian Grocery Store Has ‘Radicalized’ Him Against US Leaders: ‘Legitimately Angry’
The Wrap- Yahoo Entertainment ^ | 2/15/2024 | Josh Dickey

Posted on 02/15/2024 11:00:28 AM PST by marcusmaximus

Tucker Carlson says he went “from amused to legitimately angry” at U.S. political leaders during a recent trip to a Moscow grocery store, where the independent conservative journalist and his crew guessed that a cart full of food would cost about the equivalent of $400 in American dollars – and it came in around a hundred bucks.

“Coming to a Russian grocery store, the ‘heart of evil,’ and seeing what things cost and how they live, it will radicalize you against our leaders,” Carlson said in the video shot on-site as he shopped for eggs, bread, wine and other staples. “That’s how I feel, anyway, radicalized. We’re not making any of this up, by the way. At all.”

-snip-

“So we were guessing what this would cost,” Carlson said as he puts his items on the belt. “Everybody [in the crew] is from the United States … and we didn’t pay any attention to cost, we just put in the cart what we would actually eat over a week. We all [guessed] around $400 bucks. It was $104 U.S. here. And that’s when you start to realize that ideology doesn’t matter as much as you thought.”

You right. People in Midwest can live very comfortably on lot less income than CA. But, they have hard time when visiting CA. On the flip side, lots of former CA residents are buying mansions in Midwest. All they need is to sell their CA shack.

So similarly, Us residents see low prices in e.g. Costa Rica.
but do not see the income there.
Russia is not poor country nowadays. Somewhere in the middle.
I was there like 10 years ago, and the shops were full. People were not starving and the merchandize was of a lot better quality compared to the Communist era.
Like i mentioned many times before, Putin is NOT a Communist.
Dictator, yes.
Aggressor, yes.
Wants to re-build the tzarist empire, yes.
But communist NO!

As usual Tucker is feeding pablum to his brain dead viewers. You’ll find a much better selection of products in EU Europe markets than Russia based on my experiences.

Do I have to go to a poor country to understand that prices and salaries are lower there?

I bet fruits and vegetables are dirt cheap in Cuba, and I know they are in Mexico.

A normal Russian making normal Russian wages wouldn’t be able to afford everything that Tucker bought in that shopping trip.

You're ridiculous. The average wage in Moscow, where Tucker did the shopping, $1130 and is far greater than the average in the country, just like the wages in New York City are higher than in the Midwest.

Russophobic morons like yourself act like Russia is still behind an iron curtain. It's not. Anyone can go online and seeing Russians living very well in Moscow.

In El Salvador the street markets are full of Central American produce as one would expect. But often the red delicious apples there are from Washington state. Those apples have come from afar and are a bit cheaper than they would be at our Walmart but they are expensive for Salvadorans.

An American Snickers candy bar or a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch were slightly more expensive in El Salvador than here.

Tucker’s whole case falls apart if he would base his shopping on the percent of average monthly income instead of his silly exchange rate calculations.

And, you're in bed with the Biden regime, World Economic Forum, George Soros, the Clintons, Lindsey Graham and all those snakes laundering money through Ukraine.

Freep off.

Russia gained a fraction of 1% of Ukraine in 2023 in exchange for 250K+ casualties.

You are a Russian shill and you don’t give a crap about Biden, Lindsay Graham, the EU or any of it.

You are here playing people so they will help you kill them.

Anyone with sense can see what you are, which is a sworn enemy of America.

You would blow Joe Biden if he’d just give Ukraine to your masters. And he probably will.

There's nothing about aiding Ukraine that has any large impact for Americans except Russia's defeat.

Wasting more than $100 billion on failed proxy war that we wanted is absolutely outrageous.

That's why Trump, the most conservative and libertarian members of Congress don't waste anymore money on a war that nothing to do with our national security.

Take your insults and shove them.

You need to clue Tucker in on the ongoing cucumber, egg and banana catastrophe in Russia.

Current egg prices in Russia:

129 rubles per dozen = $1.40 US

Current Banana prices in russia: $.25 - $.30 per pound. There is no shortage, they are now importing from India

There is no vegetable catastrophe taking place in Russia.........

Tucker Carlson is the only US reporter willing to reveal the bullshit our current government is currently engaged in.........

I recently talked to a former missionary, who went to Uganda a couple of years ago just to visit. He said that everybody has a cell phone and they only cost like five or $10 and you pay for everything with your phone and there are Chinese everywhere. All the supervisors are Chinese and all the workers are African, paid on their phones to buy what they need.

Russia gained a fraction of 1% of Ukraine in 2023 in exchange for 250K+ casualties.

Never mind that Ukraine was an the offensive most of 2023, lost about 300,000 troops (more 500,000 troops total) and Russia still gained ground.

You're literally stupid to realize Russia's goal for the last year has been destroying the Ukraine army, not gaining territory. Russia has all the territory it wanted going into this war.

And, now, the Ukrainian military is beginning to collapse along the frontlines and is on the verge of losing the key city of Avdiivka.

You're worst combination of arrogant and stupid,

Tucker is one of the few who gives candid opinion. The rest are scheming to destroy us with lying politics. The Banksters and Fed Reserve play us into thinking the inflation they create makes us rich.

I know that. The guy who posted this thread has been going ape over the prices of Russian cucumbers, eggs and bananas for a month now. I have to admit it’s fun rattling his cage over this nonsense.

I have no desire to eat food produced in Russia . No need to ingest heavy metals or salmonella. Our farmers and food manufactures in the US are second to none. GO USA!

This comment was brought to you by the folks at Monsanto, makers of Roundup.😉

Good Americans? No, the Biden regime, the Democrats, George Soros, Sean Penn, Bill Kristol, John Bolton, Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham and the neocons behind with are greedy, despicable a-holes, most of which are involved in laundering money in Ukraine, not good Americans.

The good Americans are Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, Don Jr., JD Vance, MTG, Matt Gaetz, Rand Paul and others opposed to giving another penny to fight this failed proxy war.

Freep off, you warmongering freak.
