Invite Pooty Poot to Florida for a follow up interview. On U.S. turf.

“Used”? If Putin wasn’t challenged that was his fault. They both agreed on the script and it went as they practiced. Also, Tucker did get the personally signed poster of Putin.

It would have been interesting to have questions about Iran, Syria, Navalny, domestic elections, domestic protests and their suppression.

I honestly can’t believe that anyone on here saying “Tucker blew it” or “Tucker was a lapdog” watched the entire interview.

I think you guys are used to US journalism where the interview subject is either “your guy” and you ask softball questions. Or the subject is “the enemy” and you only ask attack questions.

Tucker asked a lot of probing, challenging questions without being rude, disrespectful or antagonistic. Maybe you guys were expecting something like Jim Jordan grilling a cabinet secretary but that’s not journalism, that is kabuki theater.

I thought it was a great interview. Here is a good analysis of the interview...

I have been listening to Mark Levin and this whole Putin thing is bizarre.

According to Levin, anyone who does not want Congress giving Zelensky billions of dollars to continue the carnage and destruction of Ukraine is a Putin lover. Last night he used the term “smartly” in how to determine how much to give. He snickers at what Carlson has to say.

Most of us are aware that the Biden administration claims it is fighting for democracy and protecting Ukraine’s border. The irony is not lost on anyone that Ukraine is not a democracy and our own border is unprotected and is a gateway for invasion, in the tens of thousands, by our enemies’ military. It is a gateway for the invasion of tens of thousands of terrorists.

Ukraine will not win this war. Those who advocate giving Ukraine more money, rather than pressing for a ceasefire and negotiated settlement, have the blood of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians on their hands. The Biden administration is calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, since they know that Israel will destroy Hamas, and that is not desired by the Biden administration for whatever perverse reason. The administration refuses to call for a ceasefire in Ukraine knowing that Russia will win. I have noticed that it has been declared as unnecessarily alarmist and rude to mention that by the MSM. Acceptance of that fact undercuts the logic of continuing the war to increase the profits thereof.

From the fags at the Daily Mail who loved the Soviet Union (when it was at the height of its power) but now hate Russia.

The UK will soon be taken over by Islamist and then they will bow under the knife of Sharia.

Russia is the least of their problems. /spit

There is nothing stopping Putin to present his entire case on X/Twitter or some other censor free social media.
He can even interview himself if he wants hardball Q&A without rude interruptions.

Putin probably did get the impression of an ‘attack dog’ style in Carlson not real journalist with a history background, sympathetic to Russia over Ukraine and somehow had the idea it would go a bit differently. Tucker should probably have challenged him more on a few areas like religious freedom and NATO expansionism, maybe asked about bioweapons labs or preferences in a Biden/Trump/Kennedy race but Putin may have just filibustered another 30 minutes. Overall I thought it went pretty much as expected. If Hitler can grant interviews during WWII, game on. :)

Putin complains that fired Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked ‘softball’ questions in interview that left Russian leader ‘unsatisfied’

Notice the bias in the headline - “fired” could just as well been “former”.

I thought a good politician ignored the questions, softball or hardball, and gave the answers he wanted us to hear.

Oh, horse pucky. I sat thru the entire 2 hours. Putin had ample opportunity to offer any subject. He was not cheated. TCarlson asked what he wanted.
So, did Putin come off better? Mebbe. But, consider his opposition: BeijingBiden and Zylynskyy. Against those two turds Satan would look OK.

How about Vladi order his communications stooge to write up and release the desired questions and Putin’s answers, rather than whining about what someone else didn’t ask?

Carlson was underprepared, and his performance was imperfect, but it was obvious that he wanted to let Putin have his say without US government filters. Others with the actual knowledge Carlson lacks can then dissect Putin’s commentary at leisure, add context, challenge his “facts” and interpretations, read between the lines, etc. The whole exercise increases interest and understanding among the public.

Putin was deprived of martyrdom and nationalist outrage by Russians who would have resented an impertinent foreign guest hectoring and insulting their President with questions that edge up to the most terrifying of things, the Truth.

Putin is pissed because he wanted to use the interview to buck up domestic support.

No he didn’t. Tucker did exactly what he should have - allow Putin to say what he thinks about various issues.

Its up to each person watching to decide for himself what he thinks about Putin’s responses.
