Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed he 'didn't get complete satisfaction' from his interview with Tucker Carlson as the fired Fox News host failed to challenge him.
Putin, 71, appeared on Russian state TV Wednesday, sitting down for an exchange with propagandist Pavel Zarubin.
'To be honest, I thought he would be more aggressive and ask tough questions,' the autocrat said of 54-year-old Carlson.
'And I wasn’t just ready for that, I wanted it, because it would have given me the opportunity to respond sharply in kind, which, in my opinion, would have added certain specificity to our conversation. But he chose a different tactic.'
Putin then went on to describe Carlson's passivity.
'He tried to interrupt me several times, but still, surprisingly for a Western journalist, he proved patient and listened to my lengthy replies, especially about history,' he said.
'And he didn’t give me reason to do what I was prepared for. So honestly speaking, I didn’t get complete satisfaction from that interview.'

From the fags at the Daily Mail who loved the Soviet Union (when it was at the height of its power) but now hate Russia.
The UK will soon be taken over by Islamist and then they will bow under the knife of Sharia.
Russia is the least of their problems. /spit
Putin probably did get the impression of an ‘attack dog’ style in Carlson not real journalist with a history background, sympathetic to Russia over Ukraine and somehow had the idea it would go a bit differently. Tucker should probably have challenged him more on a few areas like religious freedom and NATO expansionism, maybe asked about bioweapons labs or preferences in a Biden/Trump/Kennedy race but Putin may have just filibustered another 30 minutes. Overall I thought it went pretty much as expected. If Hitler can grant interviews during WWII, game on. :)
Tell Putin to stop making fun of Tucker Carlson.
Putin complains that fired Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked ‘softball’ questions in interview that left Russian leader ‘unsatisfied’

Notice the bias in the headline - “fired” could just as well been “former”.
Putin was too hard on the Tucker.
You should be mad at Putin for throwing Tucker under the bus, rather than a biased headline from the DM.
Tom Tucker would have been better.
Bingo!
I can't believe they would do something so momentus and consequential without your okay.
You should be mad at Putin for throwing Tucker under the bus, rather than a biased headline from the DM.

I don’t have a one track mind. I had a single point to make and I made it. My point had nothing to with Putin or Tucker, only about the bias of the headline writer.
I thought a good politician ignored the questions, softball or hardball, and gave the answers he wanted us to hear.
Zeeper Freepers are a good laugh.
Oh, horse pucky. I sat thru the entire 2 hours. Putin had ample opportunity to offer any subject. He was not cheated. TCarlson asked what he wanted.
So, did Putin come off better? Mebbe. But, consider his opposition: BeijingBiden and Zylynskyy. Against those two turds Satan would look OK.
AWESOME!!!!
It demonstrated one thing...Putin us smart. I wanted tucker to get him to talk about what he thought of the us. Ticket just wanted Ukraine and got a long answer about the history of the regio .. putin was smart to stay out of us politics and not show his hand.
How about Vladi order his communications stooge to write up and release the desired questions and Putin’s answers, rather than whining about what someone else didn’t ask?
Carlson was underprepared, and his performance was imperfect, but it was obvious that he wanted to let Putin have his say without US government filters. Others with the actual knowledge Carlson lacks can then dissect Putin’s commentary at leisure, add context, challenge his “facts” and interpretations, read between the lines, etc. The whole exercise increases interest and understanding among the public.
Putin was deprived of martyrdom and nationalist outrage by Russians who would have resented an impertinent foreign guest hectoring and insulting their President with questions that edge up to the most terrifying of things, the Truth.
Putin is pissed because he wanted to use the interview to buck up domestic support.
LOL. I wonder how many folks on this thread would recognize that date!
No he didn’t. Tucker did exactly what he should have - allow Putin to say what he thinks about various issues.
Its up to each person watching to decide for himself what he thinks about Putin’s responses.
