The Feb. 11 Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers brought in an average of 123.4 million viewers — the highest number of people watching the same broadcast in the history of television.
112 million of those viewers were tuned into the CBS broadcast — the largest audience ever for a single network. The rest were measured across Paramount+, Nickelodeon, Univision, CBS Sports and NFL digital properties including NFL+. Per Paramount Global, Paramount+ saw record-breaking viewership that made Sunday the most-streamed Super Bowl ever, but exact data regarding streaming views isn’t available.
Before this, the biggest telecast of all time was last year’s Super Bowl game between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. It was initially named the third most-watched, ranking behind the 2015 and 2017 Super Bowls which brought in 114.4 million and 113.7 million viewers, respectively. But Nielsen later caught errors in their measurement that raised the tally from 113 million to a record-breaking 115.1 million viewers. Sunday’s game improved on that number by 7%.

It WILL be fun to watch!!
I wish she could've clicked the heels of her ruby red slippers and replaced scowling, fugly Ice Spice with smokeshow Cara Delevigne, her guest at the previous two games who actually seemed to be enjoying herself.
But Swift needed to bring her "diversity friend." I get it. She's been bringing too many white friends to the game and people were starting to notice.
😂👍
Not a sports fan of ball games the have to much dumb luck involved no matter ho much players train.
Football takes to long they keep stopping the clock and the play for 30 seconds it’s like a slow soccer game.
Of course we do. While you people were watching the SuperBowl we were watching the PPV TaylorCam. That's where the magic happens.
I wasn’t one of them, thank God.
IIRC, I haven’t watched a live minute of a Super Bowl in several years, and then only if at someone’s house where the game was on.
I was involved in sports in high school and for two falls of small college football. I would have been way ahead to have settled for throwing a ball around in a yard or park. I’ve heard the saying, “football is life”. But no, life is life... and death. One can have success or failure in daily living; learn from it, and move on.
Athletically, I was most successful in high school wrestling. However, at practice I rarely gave 100%. Defeating a kid that I was friends with was not very satisfying. Defeating a kid from another school was somewhat satisfying, but just didn’t jive with my understanding of Jesus Christ’s priorities in life.
Of course, my outlook on life got it’s first big eye opener when my older brother died in a farm accident, 5 days before he turned 16. I was 11.
I seem to see the term ‘Christian athlete’ as a paradox; especially in physically violent sports. Love one another, but step on the field or in the ring and deliver pain. And for what?,... pride and money.
In the world of sports everybody believes in some magic. Lucky shirts. Turn your cap inside out for a rally. The athletes even more so. So really these Swifties are no different than any other sports fan.
So, nearly 48% of Americans are men 50 and over who make $100k/yr? That doesn't seem right.
Flyers fans thought Kate Smith singing God Bless America was their good luck charm.
Even put up a statue of her, which of course got taken down.
The wife and I were both in the den while the game was on. (I like hanging around with my wife.) The wife watched the game...I had my ear buds in, watching a movie. When the commercials came on...I’d stop the movie and watch the commercials...of which there were A LOT. Traditionally, SB commercials were original, high quality and usually worth watching. This year, too many of the commercials were offensive or just plain garbage. I finally pulled the plug on watching the commercials when the VW commercial had two lesbians kissing in a VW, one in a wedding dress. Don’t even get me started on the BLM-approved half time show, which I abandoned 30 seconds in...
I read it on the internet so it must be true!
The Taylor effect.
One of the play-by-play guys sounded just like ESPN’s Chris Berman and I can’t stand Chris Berman.
I remember that one. They would even bust out the tape for playoff games after she died.
Of course in hockey you also have the whole thing about the conference trophy. Sports is a superstitious land.
And only RFK Jr ‘s super pac ran an ad.
Those are global numbers, aren’t they.
On a planet with 8 billion people on it.
Ratings and demos sucked, didn’t they.
Especially demos...
And so much for Taylor Swift’s stunt casting...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
And that assumes they were honest about the numbers...
I wouldn’t.
How many watched on their laptops?
I pretty much do all my watching on my laptop these days, I rarely watch my TV.
