Republicans Live Up to Being the Stupid Party
American Thinker ^ | 12 Feb, 2024 | Brian C. Joondeph

America’s political system is based on two parties, Republicans and Democrats. Given that the collective differences between the two parties are minimal, they are referred to as the uni-party, the ruling class, or simply “the swamp.”

As humans, we share 70 percent of our DNA with slugs. Republicans and Democrats probably share at least that much in terms of policies and priorities.

As you can tell, I hold [neither] party in high regard, and am registered independent/unaffiliated because as Groucho Marx once said, “I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.” Either party will welcome me as a member only if I offer them my email address, phone number, and a credit card number.

I have names for both parties. Democrats are the “evil party” and Republicans are the “stupid party.”

Democrats are evil because they support the murder of full-term babies and encourage confused teenagers to surgically mutilate their bodies for short term adulation but long-term misery, as the New York Times surprisingly pointed out. They want to control people, sacrificing individual liberty and free expression in favor of what they perceive as the “collective good.”

They believe themselves to be their own higher power. Their version of “natural law” is their whims of the day rather than “unalienable rights” endowed by our Creator.

Republicans are stupid because they cannot articulate or enact any opposition to Democrat evil. They believe principled opposition is a watered-down version of Democrat policy. Like a battered spouse or child, Republicans crawl back to their abusers, hoping for a different outcome or a brief smile before the beatings resume.

We need a coordinated campaign to oust the RINOs in the primaries. I wish Trump would highlight this as a goal in his campaign.

In Texas, there is a great opportunity to clear Dale Phelan and his RINO cohorts out of the Texas House of Representatives. The moderate Republicans have teamed up with the Democrats to block much conservative legislation. I actually hope Nikki Haley does not drop out before Super Tuesday so that MAGA voters will be motivated to go to the polls.

they’re called progressives which was the dominant party aligned with nazi germany pre-ww2.

they disappeared after ww2 when everyone saw how bad nazis were.

they reappeared roughly around 1961 inside the democrat party (Reagan’s famous quote about leaving the democrat party).

of course then they realized the best way to insure your policies get enacted is to be on both sides of the ticket... which is why we started getting the ‘big tent’ republicans (now called RINOs) in the early to mid 80s.

today, being fully entrenched in both parties, it’s not that the gop is being stupid or weak... it’s that they are trying to undermine Trump as he’s NOT a progressive.

this is the main problem today and has been the problem for decades (see my bio)

It’s all Kabuki. There is no longer a political solution.

I like his definitions of both parties- as good as anything I could come up with.

Republicans have their own set of problems but there is no comparing the two parties. The dems are much worse. Dems are greens, which is totally insane.

We have two parties, in name only, in reality, they’re both the same, they’re all in it for themselves. Dems are evil and repubs are too weak and uninterested to stop them.

Following CW-II, RINOs and almost RINO-ublicans will be in the guillotine line...behind the DemocRATs, of course.

There have not been two parties for a long time. Democrat/Republican labels are meaningless. Only Traitors and Patriots remain. We need to take control of the language and call them out as the same.

I wish they’d all sneak across the Rio Grande and beg el Presidente ELMO Opendoor for asylum and amnesty. Good riddance.

I have to disagree. Yes, Republicans can act like liberals, or at least their lapdogs, but in that case they are NOT ACTING LIKE REPUBLICANS. Democrats always act like themselves, moral nihilists.
