North Carolina's Lt. Governor Mark Robinson has laid out how he wants to have transgender people arrested for using women's toilets.
Footage shows him addressing people during a campaign rally in Greenville to be the state's next governor earlier this month.
Robinson can be heard telling a crowd that transwomen should be arrested for using a women's bathroom.
He says: 'We're going to defend women in this state. That means if you're a man on Friday night, and all the sudden on Saturday, you feel like a woman, and you want to go in the women's bathroom in the mall, you will be arrested — or whatever we got to do to you.'
In another video the GOP politician adds: 'If you are a man, you better go to the men's bathroom. If you are confused find a corner outside.'
Robinson's opponents for the Republican nomination for the gubernatorial haven't addresses or condemned these comments, but called him out over his remarks.
A spokesman for candidate Bill Graham told WUNC: 'Mark Robinson will lose and hurt all GOP candidates if he is the nominee.
'His comments about the Holocaust being hogwash along with his demeaning comments about women will wreck GOP chances for regaining the White House and the governorship here in North Carolina.'
While State Treasurer Dale Folwell added: 'He's history's latest example of someone who's trying to rise to power based on telling people who to hate.'
The politician is known for making controversial comments, with footage emerging in 2021 showing him call gay and transgender people 'filth'.
'I'm saying this now, and I've been saying it, and I don't care who likes it: Those issues have no place in a school,' he says.

And I don’t know what they’re referring to regarding Mark Robinson, but lots of criticism comes out when someone notices Jewish in-group preferences.

Not sure if it was the most prudent thing to say, or the best policy, or the best fight to pick after the defeat on HB 2, but his opponents attacking him for it show us clearly who our candidate is in this race.
One observes that Robinson is the incumbent, and and snapping, barking dogs at his heels want his position. Basic politics. The RINOs look ahead, with trepidation that an incumbent Lieutenant governor be 1) re-elected and 2) stand for the office of governor next time around.
Agreed. Proud to have voted for Mark Robinson for Lt. Governor and will be proud to vote for him for Governor later this year. That ass hat Roy Cooper has held up a lot of good legislation the Republican dominated legislature wants to pass - like Constitutional Carry.
Because of WuFlu Cooper declared himself emperor and locked NC down for far too long. The legislature passed bills to limit his power but he vetoed every one of them. The Reps have had a veto-proof supermajority in the legislature for about a year. Especially if that continues after the next election and particularly if Robinson is elected, the first order of business should be to change the law to prevent a gov - of either party - exercising unlimited dictatorial control.
Yes. Its been wonderful watching the new Republican supermajority in the state legislature stuff one bill after another right down Cooper’s throat.
