If you insist on going into the jungle, only an armored vehicle, heavy glass, and plenty of ground clearance.
And the South African cars that shoot flames out from underneath would be helpful.

It was not clear what prompted the crowd to set upon the robotaxi. They can't figure it out, huh? LOL.

Wow, missed that. One of my sons and I were in Chinatown in San Francisco last night. Lots of fireworks, lots of people, and the cars were gridlock. I was actually surprised the entire day in San Francisco and we had not seen a self driving car at all. It’s crazy that they would allow it to be programmed to go down those streets at that time, and with those crowds.

A crowd in San Francisco's Chinatown surrounded a Waymo robotaxi on Saturday night, broke the windows and threw fireworks inside, setting the vehicle ablaze, the company said. The most surprising thing is that there were people who actually thought this wouldn't happen.

Decades ago I had occasion to drive through Chinatown (NYC) during their New Year’s celebration. Scores of fireworks tossed onto my car. Nothing harmful, but back then my car had little resale value anyway.
Made it through fine. I thought it was kind of fun.

I went into SF twice last year and didn’t have a problem. Of course, I didn’t go to the really bad neighborhoods.
