“One question: why attack a driverless car?”
Being an EV, it’s the LEAST it deserved.
Because it entered the jungle.
Where nothing good is allowed to remain.
Stolen, smashed, or lost.
It is the law.
Because they can.
Ask a person who makes his, her or its living driving a cab...
It was practice run for the coordination (think broadcast texts and subscribed apps) of military-aged, mostly-male, Chinese sleepers in the area, in preparation for the election-related blue-city violence, mayhem, and terror to come later this year.
They are primitives
Well, it IS New Year in Chinatown. Discard failure and work for success.
Because they are dangerous and unsafe. They have run over pedestrians, block fire trucks and traffic and a host of other sins. They are not ready for prime time but waymo greased the state regulators and the city cannot stop them even though police and fire dept both documented the safety issues. you don’t test your experiments in a dense urban city that already has a poor street grid.
I was delighted to see this car flambed and expect this is only the beginning.
