Does anyone else remember Puffa Puffa Rice?

Yes! My brother's favorite cereal.

I liked Rice Krinkles and Quake, myself.

I didn’t have bell bottoms, but I did have flairs, and a leasure suit which was the same color as Al Bundy’s pants. Also Hai Karate cologne.

Almaden was my introduction to red wine. It sucked.

Quake was too tough on my teeth. I preferred Quisp.

Remember the contest to see which cereal would stay and which would go? I think Quisp won, but then that cereal was banished to the cereal graveyard as well.

You liked Quisp?! That little snippy alien? If you find QUake to tough, give the milk a little while to sink in.

Yes, I remember the contest, and I voted for Quake. I even had my mother buy Quangaroos after they dumped Quake. Quisp hung on for a few years, and is brought back every few years.

When I was a kid there were a lot of Arco stations along our travel route one year, dad made sure we stopped at every one so I could collect more pieces of the Noah’s Ark gas premium set. Ended up with a few sections of Ark and a lot of the same animal. 🦒

Who writes this crap? The thought that these things only happened during the 70's is absurd. With perhaps only lava lamps and gas lines, most of this crap happened in the 60s, 50s, and 40s.

And to think whoever wrote this crap has the audacity to say we are more enlighteded today is also absurd and laughable. Having a military with trannies, millions of illegals streaming across our southern border, and kids eating soap pods - yeah, that is very enlightening.

Hitchhiking was decidedly out by the 70s. We definitely didn’t do it - too dangerous. My dad said he did and it was common for him as a kid but that was the 40s.

Component stereo systems came into vogue and Mogen David wine cost 98 cents a bottle!

Punk Rock. The East Coast had the Ramones, the West Coast had the Dead Kennedys, and the UK had the Sex Pistols, plus there were scores of others. C’mon, someone back me up here.

DC had the Bad Brains.

Component audio equipment and decent car stereos, too. I still have my Cobra CB radio, Sansui receiver, B&O turntable and Sansui speakers from ‘77 to ‘79.

They all still work and still sound good, but I won’t turn the receiver on again until I replace the caps. To dried out now to apply power. Same for the belt in the Beogram turntable, too. I wonder if I can find one now like you can with Sansui upgrade kits and parts.
